Whilst it is primarily intended for traditional British style brass bands throughout the world, other brass ensembles, wind, military, marching or concert bands may join. Other web sites related to brass playing, banding, brass instruments, music and supplies are also welcome. Each participating band adds a small amount of javascript or HTML code to a page on their web site to create the ring control. This may be located anywhere on the site, but it is normally on the front or index page - and is usually at the bottom of that page. (See the webring navigation bar at the bottom of this page). Visitors to the site can then click on the appropriate links to move to other sites in the ring. There are over 400 active brass band sites in this ring. The Brass Band Webring is a separate entity to the IBEW (Internet Bandsman's Everything Within) . The webring provides a linked means of visiting similar sites in sequence. The IBEW is a formal, structured directory of information and links relating to brass bands.

The Pride of Oklahoma
http://bands.ou.edu/pride
Auditions for the 2005 Pride of Oklahoma will occur the week of August 15. Audition materials will be available for download on July 1. The Pride rehearses Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. There are also rehearsals on the mornings before home football games. The Pride of Oklahoma had a fantastic 2004 football season culminating with a memorable trip to the Orange Bowl. Pride members enjoyed a fantastic, all expenses paid, 7 day trip to Miami, FL. While in Miami, the Pride was able to enjoy the warm temperatures with the sand between their toes! The Orange Bowl pre-game performance was an experience no Pride member will ever forget. Throughout the 2004 season, Pride members participated in many exciting games, venues, and environmental conditions. Victories over Texas in Dallas, Oklahoma State in Stillwater and a Big 12 Championship victory over Colorado were just some of the highlights of a great Sooner Football season. The 319-member "Pride of Oklahoma" has been supporting Sooner Spirit for nearly a century. The 2004 Pride included members from 19 states and two continents, including students from virtually all colleges and departments on campus enrolled in 63 different academic majors. The 2004 Pride had an average GPA of 3.55 and an average ACT of 26.7. Over one-third of the student members in the Pride are involved in various distinguished academic programs including: the National Scholars Program, University Scholars, President's Scholars, and the Honors College. The Pride of Oklahoma stands for excellence in musicianship, academics, school spirit, and commitment to our role in the surrounding community.
