From an episode of "Monk" I caught out of the corner of my eye last night, this is a store called "Beachs Market" (no apostrophe) at 7900 Imperial Boulevard in Downey CA. Does anyone have any info on what it might have been in its former life? It almost looks like it has some A&P-like features to me... Read more and see more pictures...

Tuesday, November 23, 2004 NASGRASS Meeting at Charlotte County Speedway Highlights I want to thank everyone who attended the meeting on Sunday for your support, I know it was a bad weekend due to the Nextel Cup final, and for those that were unable to attend here are the highlights:
We are still trying to secure insurance coverage for our club, currently the Swamp Cabbage Festival promoter, the Highlands Shrine Club, and the Lehigh Acres Rotary Club are tring to see if they can add us to their event coverage. If ANY of them are successful I will let you know, I told them if they could cover us then we would be there to race! We are working on getting some of the insurance providers to come to the "race" on December 18th at Eastbay Raceway to see our mowers. I don't forsee us getting coverage for this season, if this changes I'll let everyone know.
We are also planning on being in the Charlotte County Christmas Parade in Punta Gorda, anyone who can attend e-mail Jerry Gilbert and let him know. We will also be in the Sebring, and possibly Avon Park, Christmas parade but are limited on the number of mowers we can have. I feel this will help keep our name out there in the public eye, the "Noise for Toys" event will also be good exposure for our mowers, and the club so please let Donna Gilbert know if you will be there.

Some online maps are easier to navigate and manipulate than others, due in part to the large size of image-rich documents. Several sites require special software or plugins (available for free download) to read and manipulate maps; some maps download very slowly, even with a fast connection. A large number of maps, however, are available online, covering a broad range of topics, time periods, and perspectives. This list was created to provide an introduction to the kinds of maps available online and to emphasize some of the larger collections. The Library of Congress is one of the richest sources and offers many specific collections rich in maps that are not included on this list; in addition, there are a number of smaller sites that address specific topics.
