gonegahgah - Does Magnetism Curve Space and Time
I am wondering if a magnetic force will deviate different mass amounts of the same material through the same path as each other just like gravity does to different mass amounts of any material?
Does anyone know? Has this been tested? Discuss Does Magnetism Curve Space and Time Here, Free!
Dr.Brain - Does Magnetism Curve Space and Time
Yes Magnetism curves the spacetime just like gravitational field does it, its just that you need special objects to detect them.Just like gravitational field can be felt by masses, magnetic field can be felt by charges.
BJ Discuss Does Magnetism Curve Space and Time Here, Free!
robphy - Does Magnetism Curve Space and Time
Magnetism curves spacetime via the electromagnetic field's contribution to the stress-energy tensor (the "matter side" of the Einstein equations). In GR, only matter and other non-gravitational forces contribute to the "matter side" of those equations. So, in GR, gravitation and magnetism are not on the same footing.
That "all masses fall the same way in a gravitational field" is based on the equality of gravitational mass and inertial mass.

    Physics of Everyday Life
"People who have a conceptual knowledge of physics are more alive to the world, just as a botanist taking a stroll through a wooded park is more alive than most of us to the trees, plants, flora, and the life that teems in them."
    -Paul Hewitt
This course by no means will turn you into a "Physicist" or even a "Scientist;" just as a course in Music Appreciation does not turn you into a "Composer" or "Musician." What the course will do is give you a deeper understanding and appreciation of physics than you would have had otherwise. After this course, you will take a more perceptive view of your physical surroundings.
We observe physics everyday. Everyday phenomena from satellite motion to the morning dew can be explained using the ideas that do not require mathematical rigor. What does it mean to be "weightless"? Why do bees buzz? What is radon and why is it dangerous? Why does it feel hotter when it is humid? You will be able to answer these questions and many more after taking Physics of Everyday Life. More importantly, you will become experienced in discovering physics as it pertains to your own experiences and life.

According to Albert Einstein 's theory of general relativity space and time get pulled out of shape near a forcibly-accelerated or rotating body in a phenomenon referred to as frame-dragging . The rotational frame-dragging effect was first derived from the theory of general relativity in by the Austrian physicists Joseph Lense and Hans Thirring , and is also known as the Lense-Thirring effect . More generally, the subject of field effects caused by moving matter is known as gravitomagnetism Lense and Thirring predicted that the rotation of an object would alter space and time, dragging a nearby object out of position compared to the predictions of Newtonian physics. This is the frame-dragging effect. The predicted effect is incredibly small—about one part in a few trillion—which means that you have to look at something very massive, or build an instrument that is incredibly sensitive. Frame-dragging is one of the last predictions of general relativity remaining to be confirmed by experiment. More familiar and already-proven effects of special relativity include the conversion of mass into energy (as seen in atomic bombs and stars) and back, and the
