Friday, September 23rd 2005 Madagascar Chicken 2 boneless chicken breast halves, cut in bite size chunks
2/3 cup canned coconut milk
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper or tomato, sliced and chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp grated lemon rind 1/3 tsp (or to taste) cayenne powder salt pepper lemon juice oil Marinate chicken in lemon juice 30 min, drain and season with salt and pepper to taste Saute over medium heat until cooked on outside but slightly pink inside. Drain oil and place chicken in a container and set aside Saute onions, stirring constantly, until slightly browned. Add bell peppers and garlic and saute 3-4 min, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to simmer, add coconut milk, ginger, cayenne powder, and lemon rind. Add chicken back to stew. Cover and simmer 30 min or until in thick stew consistency. If mixture is too thin simmer with lid removed until desired consistency is reached. Serve over a bed of steamed white rice.

Comme les différents quotidiens malgaches, nous avons recu un mail assez "hard" à l'encontre d'une personnalité malgache diaspora, Mamy Andriamasomanana, ex ambassadeur itinérant de Marc Ravalomanana durant la crise 2002, qui fait suite à la publication à la Une sur Midi Madagasikara du 22/09 des résultats d'un sondage sur les présidentielles 2007 positionnant ce dernier comme le challenger n°1 de Ravalomanana. Nous ne publierons pas le mail recu ( âmes sensibles s'abstenir ) mais ce qu'on peut dire, c'est que, nul doute que cette prochaine élection déchainera encore les passions. Le tout est ce que cela se fasse sans haine ni débordements, ce qui parait angélique. La politique est un métier dangereux ! "C.A.P. Madagascar"
is a non-profit, apolitical, and non-denominational organization that has been founded and legally registered since 1999 in the State of Michigan (U.S.A.). It is the fruit of a deep aspiration to preserve the global diversity, even though it chooses to localize its actions in the territory of Madagascar.
"C.A.P. Madagascar" intends to work with local authorities, the private sector, and various partners towards its specific but diverse objectives. These objectives are targeted by motivating the local communities at the grassroot level through different programs, and by returning the resulting benefits towards their welfare.
"C.A.P. Madagascar" will stand by one main principle: "The precious and unique biodiversity, as well as the rich culture, that Madagascar inherits must be preserved for its future generations as well as for that of the global community".

1 Situation géographique
Madagascar est un État constitué par une grande île de l'océan Indien que le canal de Mozambique sépare de l'Afrique (distant de 400 km environ). C’est la quatrième plus grande île du monde après le Groenland, la Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée et Bornéo. Longue de 1580 km et large de 580 km, Madagascar couvre une superficie de 590 000 km voir la carte de la région Le pays est entouré par d'autres îles et archipels dont l'île Maurice, les Seychelles, les Comores et l’île de La Réunion. La république de Madagascar a été membre de la Francophonie entre mars 1970 et décembre 1977, puis à nouveau membre depuis décembre 1989. Le pays est divisé administrativement en six faritany (provinces), qui s'articulent autour des villes qui portent le même nom que la province: Toamasina, Antananarivo, Mahajanga, Toliary, Antsiranana et Fianarantsoa. La ville d’Antananarivo est la capitale avec plus de 1,2 million d'habitants (
