Internet Resources The American Archives of the Factual Film (AAFF)
The AAFF was founded at Iowa State University in 1974. It is a research center for the preservation and study of 16mm non-theatrical films. The AAFF collects business, educational, and documentary productions. Such films were generally not shown in theaters, though some had theatrical releases as short subjects. ABC Television

Film Criticism CONSULS CONSULS is the online catalog of the four CSU libraries (Central-C, Eastern-E, Southern-S and Western-W) and the Connecticut State Library-SL. To find books and other materials on your subject, choose S for Subject from the CONSULS Main Menu screen and then type the subject. Example: Motion Pictures A list of SUBJECT HEADINGS will appear in alphabetical order. Select the appropriate heading. Example: Motion Pictures and Literature If your search does not have the subdivision you are looking for, choose the subject heading with the most entries. This is usually found in line 1 or 2. If there are too many entries, you may limit your search to items available in the SCSU library by selecting the Limit/Sort option. This is a selective list of reference sources on the subject of cinema, concentrating on bibliographies and other finding aids. The shelfmark of each item is given at the end of the citation. Items marked by an asterisk are not on open access; other items are available in the Humanities Reading Room . Much relevant material will also be found in the Integrated Catalogue , and under country/area headings in Humanities resources: by subject . Electronic resources can be accessed in the Electronic Resources Rooms in both Humanities 1 and 2. After the list of general sources, there is an alphabetical list of sources by individual country.

FINDING BOOKS AND FILMS
The library's holdings are best accessed through our online catalog, called Triple I (III). This system can be searched by author, title, subject, journal title, or key word. Help in using the online catalog is available onscreen and at the Reference Desk. The library catalog can be accessed from your home, dorm, or office via the Internet.
