Greg Stumbo KBI Contact Us Kentucky Links News and Events Attorney General Greg Stumbo Creates the Kentucky Bureau of Investigation The first investigative unit of its kind in the Commonwealth KBI online site FRANKFORT, KY (September 30, 2004) - Attorney General Greg Stumbo announced today the creation of the Kentucky Bureau of Investigation (KBI), the first investigative unit of its kind in the Commonwealth. The KBI is the primary initiative of a reorganization of the Office of the Attorney General (OAG). This reorganization is designed to achieve the consolidation of investigative staff into a single unit to promote the efficient management and coordination of law enforcement operations and training within the OAG. This includes work to combat the illegal drug trade, fight public corruption and recover for the Commonwealth millions of dollars lost to Medicaid fraud. During his tenure as a Louisville Police Officer, James worked as an undercover detective in the Vice/Intelligence Unit, District Detective specializing in gang investigations, homicide investigator, narcotics detective, SWAT team member, Press Information Officer for the Louisville Police Department, Certified Law Enforcement Instructor for the Training Unit and member of the Metro Narcotics Unit. | |
