The Center was founded to foster comprehensive international and interdisciplinary research and to support scholars of Japanese studies from around the world. The library, which was established on those same principles, aims to collect a wide variety of materials needed for Japanese studies and to serve researchers here and abroad. This library also functions as the main library for the Department of Japanese Studies in the School of Cultural Studies of the Graduate University for Advanced Studies (founded on April 4, 1992). | |
