Camille Jordan th century. Camille's father's family were also quite well known; a grand-uncle also called Ennemond-Camille Jordan (1771-1821) achieved a high political position while a cousin Alexis Jordan (1814-1897) was a famous botanist. Cauchy in particular had been one to take this route and, like Cauchy , Jordan was able to work as an engineer and still devote considerable time to mathematical research. Jordan's doctoral thesis was in two parts with the first part Sur le nombre des valeurs des foncyions being on algebra. The second part entitled was on integrals of the form u dz where u is a function satisfying an algebraic equation f u z ) = 0. Jordan was examined on 14 January 1861 by Duhamel Serret and Puiseux . In fact the topic of the second part of Jordan's thesis had been proposed by Puiseux Jordan married Marie-Isabelle Munet, the daughter of the deputy mayor of Lyon, in 1862. They had eight children, two daughters and six sons.

The History of a Condiment
A ll mustard is made in relatively the same way. The seed must be crushed, its hull and bran sifted out or not depending on type of mustard being made. It then may or may not go through further grinding and crushing. A liquid such as water, wine, vinegar, beer, or a combination of several of these liquids is added, along with seasonings and perhaps other flavorings. The mustard is mixed, in some cases simmered, and then cooled. Some mustard is aged in large containers before it is bottled and shipped to stores and customer.
A lthough similar recipes for mustard paste appear as early as 42 AD, the use of mustard as a condiment was not widely practiced in either Greece or Rome. The Romans took the seed to Gaul, and by the ninth century French monasteries were bringing in considerable income from mustard preparations. By the13th century, mustard was one of the items offered by Parisian sauce-hawkers, who walked the streets at dinner peddling their savory wares. F or centuries, there was an increase in both the regulation of mustard and its number of makers. Adulteration and contamination persisted until the middle of the sixteenth century, when regulations were instituted governing the cleanliness of all utensils used in production. In 1658, additional laws protected mustard producers, making it an offence for any one else to make the sauce.

1.3 About the FreeBSD Project
The following section provides some background information on the project, including a brief history, project goals, and the development model of the project.
1.3.1 A Brief History of FreeBSD
Contributed by Jordan Hubbard. We released FreeBSD 2.1.5 in August of 1996, and it appeared to be popular enough among the ISP and commercial communities that another release along the 2.1-STABLE branch was merited. This was FreeBSD 2.1.7.1, released in February 1997 and capping the end of mainstream development on 2.1-STABLE. Now in maintenance mode, only security enhancements and other critical bug fixes will be done on this branch (RELENG_2_1_0). The tree branched again on Jan 20, 1999, leading to the 4.0-CURRENT and 3.X-STABLE branches. From 3.X-STABLE, 3.1 was released on February 15, 1999, 3.2 on May 15, 1999, 3.3 on September 16, 1999, 3.4 on December 20, 1999, and 3.5 on June 24, 2000, which was followed a few days later by a minor point release update to 3.5.1, to incorporate some last-minute security fixes to Kerberos. This will be the final release in the 3.X branch. There was another branch on March 13, 2000, which saw the emergence of the 4.X-STABLE branch. There have been several releases from it so far: 4.0-RELEASE was introduced in March 2000, and the last 4.11-RELEASE came out in Jan 2005.

Hyde says Lewinsky, Jordan depositions strengthen House case
Managers to seek live testimony
WASHINGTON (AllPolitics, February 2) Lead prosecutor Henry Hyde said Tuesday that two days of closed depositions have strengthened the case against President Clinton and have led House managers to push for live testimony in his impeachment trial.
Also in this story: Senators voiced mixed reactions Tuesday after seeing the videotaped deposition of Monica Lewinsky. However, the House managers' bid for live testimony did get a boost from key Senate Republican Orrin Hatch of Utah, who said Lewinsky would make an excellent witness on the floor of the Senate. "It is our intention to request live witnesses," Hyde (R- Illinois) told reporters on Capitol Hill. "We think that's the highest and best evidence, and that will be our firm request." Hyde said the testimony of Lewinsky and of Clinton confidant Vernon Jordan had "strengthened some points" of the prosecution case. Rep. Henry Hyde

his biography bibliography wheel of time
About Robert Jordan
Robert Jordan is the pen name of James Oliver Rigney, Jr., the author known best for "The Wheel of Time," a voluminous epic fantasy book series. James and Harriet Rigney reside in Charleston, South Carolina (United States). The Wheel of Time book series is published in the United States by Tor Books, a label of Tom Doherty Associates. It is published in the United Kingdom by Orbit Books, and has been translated into over 25 languages. Translations include French, German, Spanish, Italian, Hebrew, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, and Japanese. The books have been read by an international fan base. Asked why he has never published any books under his real name, Rigney answers that his given name is reserved for any non-genre literature he may produce in his lifetime. Thus far, his most well known publication is a long work of fantasy; he has also published a Western novel and a series on Conan.
More about Robert Jordan
There are many pages inspired by and dedicated to Robert Jordan, who arguably has one of the biggest Internet fan bases of any writer. Most are dedicated to the Wheel of Time, and there are few Robert Jordan sites not dedicated to the phenomenally bestselling series. Fortunately, the Wheel of Time sites are dedicated enough to cover most things about Robert Jordan himself. I usually check silklantern - the interactive wheel of time story , which I've found to be a pretty good Wheel of Time site. It offers Robert Jordan publishing news on a regular basis.
