103. Jones Institute For Reproductive Medicine: Infertility
infertility is typically defined as the inability of a couple less than 35 yearsof age to conceive after one year of unprotected sexual intercourse.

Infertility
Infertility is typically defined as the inability of a couple less than 35 years of age to conceive after one year of unprotected sexual intercourse. In women over 35, the time frame is shortened to six months. Infertility categories are often further subdivided into primary infertility, patients without any prior pregnancies, and secondary infertility, couples who are experiencing infertility after having had previous conceptions. Infertility is all too common. A recent survey reported that 14 percent of American couples (28 million) have documented infertility. Approximately half of these patients seek treatment and, most importantly, 85 percent will conceive with the appropriate medical treatment. The causes of infertility are complex and our reproductive endocrinologists have undergone years of advanced training to enable them to accurately diagnose and treat infertility. The best chances for success occur when a specialist is consulted early in the course of infertility treatment. We often see patients who have wasted months on ineffective infertility therapy, such as extended use of Clomid . In some cases, there has been no male evaluation which is one of the most important

104. Kustin1
Discussion of causes and treatment of infertility.

Dr. Kustin believes that each couple deserves highly personalized care delivered by their physician. He sees every patient at each visit and does not rely on ancillary health care providers.Fertility care is complex and infertility can have many causes in both the male and female. Reproductive endocrinologists, like Dr. Kustin, undergo years of advanced training to prepare them to provide the best fertility care possible. This is only possible when the physician is in constant contact with the patient. The value of our personalized approach is reflected in the superior in vitro success rates seen over the last several years. Please review our statistics and compare them to other IVF programs in the area. These same excellent outcomes have been seen in less complex procedures such as intrauterine insemination over the last fifteen years. We know how stressful infertility can be and how it impacts every aspect of a couple's life. We have taken steps to try and reduce these stresses including controlling the prices of many procedures. Remember, the majority of couples will become pregnant using "first level" technologies that are not as expensive as advanced reproductive technologies. Also, many couples have some degree of insurance coverage. If IVF is required, it is available at our program for $7,950 without ICSI and $9,250 with ICSI. Cryopreservation is available for $500. Be sure and call us for more information regarding insurance coverage. Also, be sure and review our per cycle success rate statistics.
