Graduates receive the degree of Bachelor of Science and are eligible for certification to teach in the schools of Pennsylvania. Indiana University Southeast Elementary Transition to Teaching (ET2T) The ET2T certification program is for those individuals who have already earned a baccalaureate degree and who are interested in becoming licensed elementary teachers. The program is designed to develop, support and promote thoughtful, innovative practices and reflective teaching in elementary schools. In most cases, T2T candidates will earn their elementary teaching license after three academic semesters and one summer of coursework. THIS PROGRAM DOES NOT LEAD TO A DEGREEsome coursework MAY be applicable to a master's degree program. Check with a graduate advisor. Program Overview The next Elementary Transition to Teaching (ET2T) program cohort will begin in the spring of 2005; this cohort group should complete program requirements by the end of the spring semester 2006.     An educator with more than 30 years’ experience in teaching and teacher education, including the field of special education, has been named chair of the Department of Teacher Education. The appointment of Ravic P. Ringlaben, currently dean of teacher education at Fairmont State University in Fairmont, West Virginia, is effective August 22, 2005.
    In announcing the appointment, Tom Pickering, dean of the Bower-Suhrheinrich School of Education and Human Services, said, “Dr. Ringlaben has a distinguished record of teaching and administration in higher education. His record of leadership in teacher education across major teaching areas and disciplines corresponds quite well with the leadership role he will assume here at USI. Further, Dr. Ringlaben’s work and extensive preparation in special education make his appointment especially timely, in view of the University’s response to the growing need for special education teachers in Indiana and the Tri-state area.”

The Touring Choirs of the Indianapolis Children's Choir have performed regularly for National ACDA, MENC, OAKE and AOSA Conferences. Additionally, ICC tours internationally every year, singing in prestigious concert sites throughout Europe, South America, North America and China. Mr. Leck founded the Indiana All-State Children's Honor Choir and the Indiana Middle/Junior High School Honors Choir, and has conducted Mixed, Men's, Women's, Junior High and Children's All-State Choirs and festival choirs in nearly every state. He is a frequent conductor of regional and national honor choirs, including the ACDA Southern, Southwest, North Central, Central and Northwest Divisional Honors Choirs.
