Kentucky Genealogical Society Book Fair August 6th-7th, 2005
Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History, 100 W Broadway, Frankfort, KY 40601 Book publishers and sellers from all across Kentucky and surrounding states will be in Frankfort on Aug. 6-7 for the first Kentucky Historical Society—Kentucky Genealogical Society Book Fair. The event—free and open to the public—represents an expansion of the genealogical society’s one-day annual meeting, now in its 32nd year, which will take place on Saturday, Aug. 6. Vendors have rented tables in the public areas of the newly named Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History, including the Brown-Forman Room. Books for sale will range from those from national and regional genealogical publishers to those published by genealogical societies and individual researchers. Such publications are of interest to family researchers because they can help genealogists prove kinship by tying an ancestor to an area at a specific time in the past.
