Continuing Education Units A continuing education unit, or CEU, is based on the formula that one CEU equals ten hours spent in an "instructional atmosphere." Any organization can provide CEUs. Their value comes from the credibility of the provider. CEUs are not the same as contact hours. CPI's Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Instructor Certification program involves 24 contact hours, but 2.4 CEUs. CPI's Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training program has been pre-approved by several licensing/certifying boards. In these cases, a participant simply has to submit training documentation received from CPI to the appropriate board in order to receive continuing education credits from that organization or group. CPI provides certificates to all Certified Instructors upon completion of the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention course. All provider numbers and approval numbers are listed on the back of the certificate.

      1. The IPFW administration and the Office of the Indiana University Counsel have attempted to deny IU faculty members their right, as outlined in the Indiana University Academic Handbook , to file grievances with the Indiana University Faculty Board of Review over issues of academic freedom and conditions of work. 2. During this Board of Review's year of service, the Board has had its authority and efforts inappropriately challenged and thwarted by the IPFW administration which has obstructed the Board's efforts to exercise its authority in investigating grievances and in preparing for hearings in a timely and appropriate manner.
