INDIA'S GEOGRAPHY With a total land area of 3.3 million square kilometres, 2933 kms wide and the 3214 kms long, the Indian sub-continent is set apart from the rest of Asia by the towering Himalayas to the north. Going south, one comes down into the Indo-Gangetic plain, then crosses over the Vindhyan mountains to enter the Deccan Peninsula, bounded by the Bay of Bengal to the south-east and the Arabian sea to the south-east, with the southern-most tip projecting into the Indian Ocean. The Deccan plateau is the oldest portion of India, geologically speaking, and is believed to have been part of a super-continent together with S. America, Africa, Australia and Antarctica. As the continents drifted apart, the moving Deccan plate collided with the Tibetan block of South Asia about 50 million years ago and the Himalayas up out of the sea and up against the rest of Asia. Over the years, the persistent pressure of the Deccan drifting northwards pushed the Himalayan mountains upwards, a process which geologists say is still continuing, causing earthquakes and tremors in the Himalayan ranges as the accumulated stress is released. As the Himalayas rose, they were also steadily being eroded which process brought into being the three great rivers of Northern India – the Indus, the Ganges and the Brahmaputra. The alluvial soil brought down by these rivers filled up the vast depression between the Deccan plateau and the Himalayas and created what is the Indo-Gangetic plain today. Other rivers at work in India, transforming the land, include the Mahanadi, Godavari, Krishna, Kaveri and the Pennar which created the deltas and flood-plains of India’s east coast, and the Narmada, Tapti, Sharavati, Netravati, Bharatapuzha, Periyar and the Pamba which did the same for the west coast.

Sexual relationships in India

If you are traveling to India, you may be interested in sexual relationships with locals, and no, I do not mean the services of prostitutes or other commercial providers. While you can meet Indians interested in sex accidentally, the chances of success are not particularly high if you are there only for a limited period of time (as I said: no prostitutes). On the other hand, Indians often are sexually attracted to foreign people. For young Indian women, especially in the big cities, it is chic to have a Western boyfriend. So, there must be a trick to overcome the time-consuming "accidental", and to link more effectively the sexual interests of foreign visitors with those of locals. Try the Internet. Or, more to the point: try www.AdultfriendsFinder.com . The service lists more than 50,000 India residents explicitly interested in non-commercial sexual relationships. While there are more males on the search than females, there are indeed an amazing number of women using the service. It is truly amazing how popular www.AdultfriendsFinder.com

It is the seventh largest country in the world and the mountains and sea that surround India separate it from other parts of Asia. In the shape of a triangle, India's topography is greatly varied in that there although there are deserts and rain forests, much of it's land is comprised of fertile river plains and high plateaus. Some of the main rivers that flow through India are the Ganges, Brahmaputra and the Indus. These rivers start in the high mountains and carry down rich alluvial soil to the plains below, thus creating the fertile river plains.
