Whiteside County, IllinoisGenealogy A genealogist learns to love places as well as people. Whiteside County, Illinois is one of those places for me. Even though I live in St. Paul, Minnesota, a part of my soul lives in Whiteside County. It is the heart of my STILL, JOHNSON, and MASON research, and I feel as close to the history of that county as I do the history of my family. In fact, I have gone through my Whiteside County resource books so often, I feel kinship with all the families there. I am a member of the Whiteside County Genealogists, and have many printed resources in my personal library. All but one of them (# 4) were purchased from the Whiteside County Genealogical Society . The 1850 U.S. Census - Whiteside County, Illinois (#4) was purchased from S-K Publications . I would be happy to assist you with your Whiteside County questions. A list of those resources follows: History of Whiteside County, Ills. , Edited by Charles Bent, Morrison, Illinois, 1877.(600 pages) A History of Whiteside County, Illinois , Wayne Bastian, Whiteside Co. Board of Supervisors, 1968. (480 pages)

Welcome!! to the Illinois Genealogical Research web page by Mollx (Molly Kennedy)
" GENEALOGY - Confusing the dead, and annoying the living" NOTE: Expenses have increased dramatically over the last year (as I'm sure you already know~ - food, gasoline, insurance, etc). I've often been told that my fees are too low for the services I provide - but the suggested fees seemed awfully high....nonetheless, I find that I MUST increase my document-procurement fees, by a small increment. As of February 1, 2005 - the fees for Illinois Death Certificates 1916-1947 will be $4.00 each (plus postage reimbursement, or SASE). As of February 1, 2005 - my hourly fee for research (when applicable, and upon mutual agreement) will be $15.00 per hour. Effective March 5, 2005 - I will not longer be financially responsible for the replacement cost of documents that are lost or undelivered by the U.S. Postal Service. If you wish to pay the additional charges levied by the USPS to have your genealogical documents insured at the time of mailing, OR sent via Priority Mail (or both insured and sent Priority Mail) - - I will be happy to submit the additional paperwork to the USPS at the time of mailing. My financial responsibility concludes when I hand-deliver approved envelopes/mailers to the USPS office; my proof of service is the dated mailing receipt.
