Supplemental Educational Services
Rules adopted by the Illinois State Board of Education in June 2005 require SES providers to report and establish their actual cost of services. Under the rules, costs must be reported in the following categories:
  • Direct Program Expenses; Occupancy Expenses; Curriculum and Training Expenses; and Administrative and General Expenses. Informs Parents: Many of the program descriptions offered by providers look similar on paper. Distributing financial information to parents gives them an accurate sense of the amount of resources dedicated to the classroom, and the amount used for administrative expenses not directly related to tutoring.

    Statement of Purpose
It is the purpose of this web site to promote equitable treatment of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered/ transsexual individuals at Illinois educational institutions. The focus of Grapevine is on education. This site serves minority interests, and is also designed to help all the citizens of the State of Illinois see that honoring diversity includes honoring diversity in sexual orientation and gender identity. The priorities of Grapevine are urgent matters for Illinois in exactly the same sense that the rights of women and men and racial, political, and religious groups are urgent matters. When one group is oppressed for any reason, all groups in the body politic suffer. We do not like to see our brothers and sisters living with unexamined or unsupported assumptions about gay people, for prejudice limits the humanity of its bearers, even as it limits those humans who are its object. There is a new clear vision in the air. It is the realization by many in the business, political, educational and clerical communities that we must understand and accept our differences to appreciate our common humanity. As this site develops it is my hope to provide access to resources that demonstrate the clear advantage to ALL citizens of an inclusive and effective diversity program in all educational institutions in the State of Illinois. We believe that the facts are with us. We only ask you to honestly consider them.
