CLIMATE EFFECTS ON HUMAN HEALTH
Prepared by: Laurence S. Kalkstein Kathleen M. Valimont
A. FINDINGS
Weather has a profound effect on human health and well-being. It has been demonstrated that weather is associated with changes in birth rates, and sperm counts, with outbreaks of pneumonia, influenza and bronchitis, and is related to other morbi dity effects linked to pollen concentrations and high pollution levels. Large increases in mortality have occurred during previous heat and cold waves. It is estimated that 1,327 fatalities occurred in the United States as a result of the 1980 heat wave; the number occurring in Missouri alone accounted for over 25% of the total. Hot weather extremes appear to have a more substantial impact on mortality than cold wave episodes.

We will consume as little of it as possible and get right to the point of this e-contact. flight training management Flight Training Software Aircraft scheduling and management Flight Training Software Those of us that have spent time involved with flying training know the daily operation of a pilot training program is far from an exact science and more along the lines of herding cats. When you consider all the factors that go into a single training flight: lesson objectives and prerequisites; instructor currencies, qualifications and availability; student aptitude and availability; equipment requirements, maintenance and availability; and just to make it a challenge toss in your local weather conditions, now multiply all this by the number of training flights per day and you get a virtual endless supply of daily operational issues.

AAAS REPORT: Regulating Human Cloning
(April 3, 2003) The issue of human cloning has been the subject of much public debate since the birth of the cloned sheep Dolly was announced in 1997. The profound ethical questions surrounding the prospect of the birth of a human clone have received much scrutiny. In recent months, the debate has included the topic of human stem cell research , which scientists believe could benefit from experimentation using the procedure pioneered by the scientists who produced Dolly.
Nuclear Transplantation
This procedure is known as nuclear transplantation, or somatic cell nuclear transfer. It involves removing the nucleus (which contains a cell's DNA) from an egg cell, and transplanting the DNA from an adult cell into the enucleated egg. Under certain conditions, the egg then begins to replicate as though it were a fertilized embryo.

Land Mines-Pentagon Necessity. . .An International Horror
"Cambodia has more mines than children - two for every child."
The horror of Land Mines- the silent, indiscriminate, remnants from a flare up of Mans' Inhumanity to Man, do not recognize Uniforms or Cause, Age or Sex , Intent or Happenstance, Innocence or Guilt, nor do they know when the hostilities are over; They wait silent and lethal for the chance to cause pain, anguish, and death year after year after year after year after year after Warring groups callously leave these 'devices' of destruction behind long after the conflict is over because it is too hard , dangerous, and "expensive" to remove them. The toll on innocent human lives in incalculable and unconscionable.
The Pentagon has recently declared land mines a necessity of their arsenal despite increasing international calls for the banning of manufacture and stockpiling of these insidious devices.
