2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. EDT Although a federal program, the new Medicare Part D will also dramatically affect states and their residents. Details on the prescription drug plans and Medicare Advantage plans that will participate in the new Medicare Part D will be released this month, and the enrollment period will begin November 15th. In this hour-long web conference, Dr. Mark McClellan, administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, will provide an overview of the Part D plan and discuss the implications of Part D and the next steps for CMS, states and consumers.
