Current Students
The Postgraduate community, which currently comprises some 20 students, is an important part of the School of Greek, Latin and Ancient History, and individual postgraduates contribute to the School in many ways. Postgraduates carry out a significant portion of the research done in the School and help to make it an extremely lively and exciting environment. Postgraduate students contribute in a variety of ways, for example:
  • Some of them participate in teaching, giving tutorials and lectures to undergraduates. Occasional running of the Class Library, and help in re-writing parts of the School's web-site. Graduate students are much involved in the School's extra-curricular activities, often playing a major role in creating the warm social atmostphere that is enjoyed by all who work within the School. The School recognises and values the postgraduates' contribution across the full range of its activites.
Additionally, the School's postgraduates have a strong tradition of being outspoken members of St Leonard's College, the Postgraduate College of the University. Below are brief profiles of some of our Postgraduate students, all of whom gave permission for their details to be put on the website:

But do make your class as academic as you can. If they think it's an easy A they'll blow it off and talk non-stop. I begin the class with teaching them about the voice, what the instrument can do, what ranges are, where they are in this voice change thing since in MS it's all about them. For the first six weeks of a 45 minute class I spend about 25 to 30 minutes on various activites designed to teach them to read music since I believe that once they know how to read they can learn music soooo much faster. I use the Jenson Sight Singing course as well as unison songs, canons, rhythm cards and games, warmups, lectures on vocal health, theory worksheets, and peppy songs. I give them a choice of several songs to learn. I also tell them that if they heard it on the radio we won't be singing it. That would be like teaching People magazine in and Enlish Lit. class. I test them on anything covered in class, expecially sight singing. I have them go into a practice room and record an exercise from the book that we've practiced. But also paper and pencil tests on melodic and rhythmic dictation, history, theory, and vocab.

http://vet.kku.ac.th/eng/eng_history.htm
HISTORY Overview The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was established in 1986 in response to the rapid expansion of the livestock industry in Thailand and, more specifically, in the Northeast during the early 1980s. The Faculty’s goal is to produce highly trained veterinarians proficient in veterinary medicine and equally competent in the science of animal husbandry. The veterinary curriculum is a six year course that can be categorised into three parts : General Education, Pre-Veterinary and Professional Veterinary courses. The Faculty consists of seven departments: Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Veterinary Public Health, Pathobiology, Medicine, Surgery and Theriogenology. Each year approximately 70 undergraduate students are enrolled in the course with 50% of places allocated to students who have matriculated from schools in the Northeast. The remaining 50% of places are awarded to students from other parts of Thailand. At the end of their study, which extends to six years, the successful student become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.). At present, the Faculty has 67 full-time teaching staff and 12 teaching assistents. Post graduate programs on Master degree program in Theriogenology and Internship program in small animal practice.
Facilities
The Faculty has the necessary laboratory equipment to support teaching activites, services and research in veterinary science and related fields. A new building provides for additional classrooms with a library with CD-ROM facilities, a large meeting hall, lecture rooms for workshops or seminars and a well-equipped computer room with Information Technology and Internet facilites. Students have access to a Veterinary Training Hospital for clinical practice, together with a Research and Farm Training Station at Loei province about 180 kilometers from the main campus. This station serves as a center for research activities of both staff and students, as well as a center for field practice, particularly in the study of farm animals.

PRIVATIZATION To date, the only examples of privatization at Queen's are the MBA programs in the School of Business Finally, we raise some general questions which should be addressed whenever privatized programs are being considered. What criteria are used to decide the costs borne by the University and the privatized program when financial jurisdictions overlap? Whose responsibility is it to audit and monitor the financial reporting to ensure that these costs are being allocated appropriately? What are the net benefits to the faculty/university of the privatized program? What implications does privatization have for the quality of the educational program and the maintenance of academic standards? 2. TUITION POLICY
