Sometimes the impacts of poor air quality are small and unknown. In other cases, they may be significant and contribute to an increased incidence of death. Every day we understand these impacts better. But, unfortunately, many impacts remain hidden. Poor air quality affects Environmental indicators provide an effective means by which complex environmental data can be transformed into easy-to-use communication and decision-making tools - tools that can help us keep track of the state of the environment and measure progress towards sustainable development. Learn more. Humans and the environment have some ability to resist the effects of poor air quality. But sometimes this resistance can be overwhelmed with higher levels and prolonged exposure to air pollution. In particular, humans, wildlife and vegetation that are old, young, and sick are often more susceptible to air pollution. Asthma, lung cancer, cardiovascular disease, allergies and many other human health problems have been linked to poor air quality. In the environment, decreased species biodiversity and vegetation productivity have been found.

Timor-Leste General protection of the environment The National Health Policy of 1993 makes reference to environmental health and the need "to intensify and expand environmental health activities including prevention and control of air and water pollution". The National Health Plan (2000-2006) for environmental health has five subprogrammes , namely environmental health risk assessment and control, occupational health, healthy setting, safe water and sanitation and control of agricultural hazard. Air pollution results mainly from vehicle emissions and strict smoke checks are done at the time of vehicle registration renewal. In 1994 unleaded fuel was introduced into the country. Chlorinated water for domestic use is available in cities, while other areas use tube wells and small scale impounding dams for their regular water supply. Rural areas depend on rainwater, shallow wells, streams and river water. Drinking water surveillance is done by the National Health Laboratory of the Ministry of Health. Regular collection and safe disposal of solid waste is done by the city development committees. The country has a national food safety policy and plan of action. The recently formed food and drugs advisory committee provides technical assistance to the food safety programme. The implementing unit is a food and drugs division formed in 1993 under the department of health. The country follows the Codex

After winning the federal relocation of residents victimized by toxic waste at Love Canal, Lois Gibbs and other local activists were inundated with calls from people around the country who were facing similar threats and wanted help. CCHW was founded in 1981 to address this need. Over the years, CCHW has worked with grassroots community groups on a broad range of environmental issues, including toxic waste, solid waste, air pollution, incinerators, medical waste, radioactive waste, pesticides, sewage and industrial pollution. We have also begun to work with communities exploring environmentally sound economic development"

Most of today's music is a hindrance not a help. This has been written about from ancient Greece and even more so today but has fallen on deaf ears. Why? Because this very same music makes us feel good, relieves our stress and tensions, releases anger and we're happier listening to it, so it can't be bad.
