The annual rainfall (about 1525 to 2030 mm) on the coast occurs mainly from April to August and November to January. The savanna region receives some 1525 mm of rain annually, mainly from April to September. Geography Horticulture The main fruit and perennial crops are pineapple, citrus, West-Indian cherry, and mango and avocado. Root and tuber crops of interest are cassava, sweet potato, eddo and yam.
