Organizations Providing General Guidance on Child Health and Safety: State laws vary on powers of attorney, wills, and guardianship. Parents should consider drawing up powers of attorney, wills and guardianship papers as well as life insurance on themselves and perhaps a living will in order to best provide for children and spouses in the event of a tragedy or difficult situation. And both spouses should understand and have access to all of these documents and all financial information. Parents also should be aware that laws differ from state to state, and crossing state lines might cause a problem with documents already in force. An attorney or other professional can help make sure that all documents are up to date and legally applicable. Can't afford an attorney? There are Internet kits and how-to books available, but as always make sure you do your homework and buy carefully.

Child care professionals play an important part in raising healthy children. Caregivers help children develop healthy bodies, minds, and feelings about themselves. One of the most important things providers teach children is how to get along with others. No matter how gifted a child is physically or mentally, that child's happiness and success in life will also depend on his ability to get along with people.
There are many ways to help children develop social skills. One way is to establish a set of rules or standards for acceptable behavior in your center. While the exact rules may vary among caregivers, most probably fall into one of three broad categories. These are:
- We need to respect ourselves
- We need to respect others
- We need to respect things.
The rules you establish that teach these general principles must be repeated often and made very clear to the children.
A second way we teach social skills is by the behavior we model. We cannot ask children to treat each other decently and then treat children disrespectfully ourselves. Children learn by watching and practicing what adults do. Every time you talk kindly to the children, you are teaching them how to talk kindly to each other.

General Information 3 General Information 3 Vocational Guidance Meiji University provides its students with organized vocational guidance by means of a Vocational Guidance Committee that has important university-wide policy-making decision. The Committee is chaired by the President and Chancellor, and is comprised of the Dean of Academic Affairs, Dean of Student Affairs, representative professors of each college, and the Graduate School. The School of Science and Technology and the School of Agriculture also have their own vocational guidance committees to enhance employment support to students.
The Vocational Guidance Office implements the decisions made by the Vocational Guidance Committee. The Vocational Guidance Office is sub-divided into the Vocational Guidance Division that assists the students of the six humanities schools and the Graduate School, and the Ikuta Vocational Guidance Division that caters to the needs of the students of the School of Science and Technology, the School of Agriculture and the Graduate School. The respective divisions provide assistance for students looking for employment under the motto, “Employment is a challenge”.
Employment is very much influenced by the economy. In the still harsh economic situation faced today, the graduates of Meiji University continue to be employed by many industries thanks to the high reputation they receive for their activities.

Quality Manual
MODULE SPECIFICATION Template Guidance
1. Module Code Number
Please remember that the first two digits are the subject area identifier, the third digit the level (eg. to 4, A, B or C, or D/P for postgraduate modules). If a module is taught jointly between more than one School, then the Schools should agree whose identifier appears on the module. The major subject contribution should be the guide.
If a module code needs to be changed, a new module record must be created. Module codes should not be reused.
2. Title of Module
Titles should be short, a fair reflection of the subject material contained in the syllabus, and interesting.
3. Number of credits
A single credit is notionally intended to represent 10 hours of student input, whether in the form of teaching contact or private study. Credits indicate a quantity of assessed learning and are gained by satisfying the Board of Examiners (specified in University Regulation 12).It should be noted that if, exceptionally, the assessment of a postgraduate module is not carried out by the end of the semester in which the module is offered, the credits will not in theory accrue to the student until assessment is completed in the following semester.
