Our main aim is to produce well-educated, well-rounded young people who are tolerant of others, enthusiastic for life, and who will develop to their full potential. Introduction:
It is our hope that this prospectus will give some idea of what life is like at the Dundalk Grammar School. Far better, of course, to see the school as it functions daily and to meet and talk with staff and pupils. The headmaster will be happy to welcome parents and family members, particularly during term time when they can see the school in action.
The school is foremost a secondary school, taking pupils from about the age of twelve until nineteen; but it has its own excellent primary or junior school working from the same premises taking pupils from four and providing a supportive background until their entry into the secondary school. Background:
Dundalk Grammar School has a venerable history. From 1739 to 1835 it was a Charter School. In 1835 it was reorganised, largely by the Revd Elias Thackeray, as the Dundalk Educational Institution. It was in abeyance during World War I, and in 1921 was revived by a local committee and reconstituted as Dundalk Grammar School. This committee was later enlarged and became the Board of Governors. The Governors meet frequently and are assisted by the school's Board of Management, which has representatives from the Governors, staff and parents.

    169. A Grammar Of Bilua: A Papuan Language Of The Solomon Islands
Synopsis of the book by Kazuko Obata.
    http://pacling.anu.edu.au/catalogue/540.html
A grammar of Bilua: A Papuan language of the Solomon Islands Kazuko Obata This grammar of Bilua, a revision of the author's PhD thesis, is the first comprehensive description of the language. Bilua is spoken on Vella La Vella island in the Western Province of the Solomon Islands. According to the 1976 census there are about 85 vernacular languages indigenous to the Solomon Islands. The majority of these are Austronesian, but among them are four Papuan languages, one of which is Bilua.
Pidgin words are mixed into Bilua and sometimes people switch from one language to another in their speech. Thus the Bilua language is changing because of the influence of Pidgin, and, although the population of Vella La Vella is increasing rapidly, Bilua is endangered. Antarctic language created by Brad Coon, with ethnographic material.
    http://www.lib.montana.edu/~bcoon/feorran.html
    A Concise Grammar of Feorran
    Abstract

Feorran is a language of the Ross Group of the Antarctic Language Family. Previous descriptions of it have focused on particular aspects of its grammar without attempting to offer a comprehensive study. This work presents a descriptive grammar of the language based upon fieldwork undertaken in 1995-96. Also included are concise lexicons, both Feorran to English and English to Feorran, folktales in Feorran with analysis, and a brief ethnographic sketch.
    Acknowledgements
This work was funded in part by the American Science Foundation (ASF Grant:#94-184061); by a grant from the Graduate Student Research Fund of Northern Indiana University; and by a grant from the Antarctic Studies Trust Fund. I am grateful to each of these for their support.
