Introduction to Bison
Bison is a general-purpose parser generator that converts a grammar description for an LALR context-free grammar into a C program to parse that grammar. Once you are proficient with Bison, you can use it to develop a wide range of language parsers, from those used in simple desk calculators to complex programming languages. Bison is upward compatible with Yacc: all properly-written Yacc grammars ought to work with Bison with no change. Anyone familiar with Yacc should be able to use Bison with little trouble. You need to be fluent in C programming in order to use Bison. The manual is available online or you can order a copy.
Downloading Bison
Released versions of GNU Bison can be found in the subdirectory /gnu/coreutils/ on your favorite GNU mirror . For other ways to obtain GNU Bison, please read How to get GNU Software . The latest released version will be the latest version available here at http://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/bison/ Testing versions of alpha releases can be found on the alpha release server. A different server is used for alpha releases so that people do not confuse testing snapshots and released versions. Alpha test versions are available at ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/bison/

Grammaticality without grammar, iteration without forms
Trevor Pateman
I want to show how possible Harrisian approaches to two issues in linguistics are inter-related in their underlying conceptualisation, which then becomes more fully available for inspection. It is an interpretation of what Kant is saying in the third of his Critiques, The Critique of Judgement that there can be true judgements of beauty, of the form ' Such-and-such is beautiful' , without there being rules of beauty, stateable in advance of any particular exercise of judgement. The interpretation is persuasively developed by Mary Mothersill in her book Beauty Restored . If she is right, then what Kant is saying is one very good reason for assigning him to Romanticism rather than Classicism. Judgement is not the application of rules, but the exercise of intuition. After the event, we may be able to reflect and point to features of the object which prompted us to our judgement - indeed, to be able to do so is necessary to the project of making our judgement intersubjectively available - but in making our judgement we worked with no checklist of features necessary and sufficient to form our judgement. Kant calls this kind of judgement reflective judgement and says that it is judgement without a concept, in contrast to

110. The Fnc-2 Attribute Grammar System
An attribute grammar system based on strongly noncircular AGs that perform extensive space optimizations
http://www-rocq.inria.fr/oscar/www/fnc2/littlefnc2.html
The Fnc-2 Attribute Grammar System
Didier PARIGOT Oscar Project FNC-2 is a modern AG-processing system that aims at production-quality by providing the following qualities:
Efficiency
the generated evaluators, based on the visit-sequence paradigm, are completely deterministic; furthermore, this paradigm allows to apply very effective space optimization techniques. The evaluators are hence basically as efficient in time and space as hand-written programs using a tree as internal data structure.
Expressive power
this efficiency is not achieved at the expense of expressive power since FNC-2 accepts AGs in the very broad class of strongly non-circular AGs. Explore new formalisms allowing more comfortable use of AGs (generic AGs )[ ] or more expressive power ( Dynamic AGs ] , which subsume circular AGs and allow to work on DAGs and maybe more general graphs).
Easiness of use
OLGA, the input language of FNC-2, enforces a high degree of programming safety, reliability and productivity. The input language containt the following sub-languages:

page, and if you still want to write me, please do so, after reading the instructions on that page. What gives you the right to say what an error in English is?
I found a word you criticized in the dictionary!

You will find certain words or phrases criticized here listed in dictionaries. Note carefully labels like dial. (dialectical), nonstandard , and obsolete before assuming that the dictionary is endorsing them. The primary job of a dictionary is to track how people actually use language. Dictionaries differ among themselves on how much guidance to usage they provide; but the goal of a usage guide like this is substantially different: to protect you against patterns which are regarded by substantial numbers of well-educated people as nonstandard. Why do you discuss mainly American usage?
