    MASTER OF MUSIC DEGREES
    In general, admission to a master's degree program requires an undergraduate degree in music or the equivalent. Additional detailed information regarding specific graduate admission requirements for the university and the School of Music is available on our Graduate information pages. Masters programs generally require 36 hours of graduate study applicable to the degree. Additional hours may be required depending on background and proficiencies. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required in composition and music education. Applicants in music education may submit scores for the Miller Analogies Test in lieu of the GRE. Competitive assistantships are available for full-time students. Choral Conducting This concentration provides training in choral conducting at an advanced level. Successful applicants are active conductors who demonstrate excellence in community, church, or school settings. Candidates are expected to evidence potential for success in doctoral study and/or as professional conductors. Conducting audition/videotape required.

ImagiProbe 2.0 hardware consists of a Sensor Interface that fits securely to the Palm Universal Connector at the base of the Palm m125, m130, m500, m505, m515 and i705 handhelds and enables users to connect a wide range of sensors. Pen-based software provides easy-to-use tools that enable users to collect data with sensors; graph data as it is collected; annotate data with text and sketches; analyze data to discover relationships, rules and principles; beam investigations and trials to other handhelds; and transfer data to their Macintosh or Windows desktop systems for further analysis and report writing.     All About Union County
    Union County is known for the Blue Ridge Mountain beauty and its world-famous sorghum syrup. It is one of the three north Georgia Counties situated completely within the Chattahoochee National Forest. Of the 204,736 acres of land in Union County 97,843 is Chattahoochee National Forest. Union County, located 112 miles north of Atlanta is easily accessed by well-developed highways and an airport. The area provides plenty of recreation and entertaining events for all ages and interest: festivals, concerts, theater, parades, active civic organizations, etc.
    The climate consist of four distinct enjoyable seasons. With altitudes ranging from 1,800 to 4,784 feet above sea level, the area has an average temperature of 69.3 degrees. Rainfall averages 57 inches per year. Snowfall averages 3 inches.
    Blairsville, the county seat, is located in the center of the county, close to beautiful Lake Nottely, a 4,180 acre body of water managed by the Tennessee Valley Authority. Although Union County's over 13,500 residents are widely dispersed, almost half of the labor force works near Blairsville. There are eleven manufacturing firms employing 1,112 people which produce / distribute poultry and other food products, sports apparel, limber, petroleum products, asphalt and leather goods. The Industrial Park underlines the county's commitment to the economic growth.
