Introduction
This site is intended to pull together various items of genealogical or historical interest that I have gathered over the years. A lot of it is derived from family papers, other sources are acknowledged on the relevant pages. Where appropriate, information has been obtained from the 1851, 1861,1881, 1891 and 1901 United Kingdom, 1870 and 1880 US and 1881 Canadian Censuses. Pages are updated as and when I get new information. If you have any further information about any of the families mentioned here, I would be glad to hear from you. MEMBER GENEALOGIES
How to Use This Index First, please have patience.
This page will be under construction constantly. There are only a handful of genealogies here now, and even many months from now, when we have uploaded the bulk of them, there will only be a hundred or two. It is not intended to be a super-list of all patriots. Such a thing wouldn't be possible, anyway. It's simply a listing of genealogies of our Riverside Chapter members and friends. Turning them into HTML pages is a long and tedious process.
Secondly , find the colony of your interest in the Table of Colonies and click on it to go to that colonys section - and yes, you're right, Connecticut isn't on the table - that's because it's the first colony immediately after the table. Scroll down four more lines to find it. If the name of the Colony is not underlined, that means there's no information on that page yet - sorry, check back later!
Thirdly , look for the name of the Patriot Ancestor listed alphabetically in BOLD RED TYPE, ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.

I've made some wonderful discoveries during the last six years and I've been building the information on my family tree ever since. One of the surnames that I am researching is

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT We have been asked by the to make this announcement. Friends of Pitcairn and visitors to the island are asked NOT to send or bring honey, other bee products, or used hive equipment or clothing to Pitcairn. As many of you know, the Pitcairners have begun to expand their beekeeping efforts, and the island hives have recently been declared 100% free of disease. In order to keep the hives pristine, it is very important that the island not be accidentally exposed to products of bees from other areas that could contaminate the Pitcairn bee population. The Pitcairners and the bees thank you very much!
