by Tony Burroughs Printer-friendly version Five Places to Find Obituaries Have you searched for your ancestor's obituary in the thousands of African American newspapers published in the 1800s and 1900s? Find out how to locate these often overlooked resources and what you're likely to learn. Genealogy begins with recording memories of our childhood and relationships with family members.
