A plaque indicates it was saved from an earlier library building erected in 1893 and, donated to the current library by Ruth Chenery. It had been located over the main entrance, see 1908 picture below. There was another stained glass over the interior doors, a Kalamazoo Valley Museum photograph of it can be seen at: http://www.kpl.gov/history/vfile/kvm/03_0376.jpg click on image to enlarge it click on image to enlarge it This stained glass window came from the home of Horace B. Peck. His home, built in 1889 and located on South Rose Street at the site now occupied by the Kalamazoo Public Library, served as the Kalamazoo Public Museum from 1927 until 1958. The window was removed when the house was demolished in 1959 for the Kalamazoo Public Library and Museum Building. The window is now on display at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum Table of Contents HOME Where and What is Kalamazoo?

Ancestor Hunt Genealogy data extracted from Family Bible Records
Given Name(s) Last Name Access Ancestry Databases FREE! Bible data extracted from old family Bibles. There are over 200 pages of Bible records and images accessible from this page. I am continuously adding to these Bible records transcribed from old Family Bibles so keep checking back for your family names. Be aware that most Family Bibles contain more than one surname, particularly in the marriage records section. Often times Bible Records will help you find that elusive maiden name you have been searching for or help you locate the birthplace and birth date of an ancestor. Some Bibles even contain names of Godparents and baptismal records. If you have Bible transcriptions or images you would like to submit, please Contact Brenda Below you will find a list of Bibles contained on this site which had so many records, they were given their own pages but there are hundreds of other transcriptions contained in the Bible Tidbits of Genealogy Data pages, so make sure to check
