Our Next Event Saturday September 17 th
Farm to Family Music Club
Alachua, Florida
More Information
Hello Cones, I haven’t written you all in a while and need to catch up. We are going back to Farm to Family, farmtofamilymusic.com on Saturday September 17 th and would like some of you cones to make the trip. This is really worth it. It’s a cool place the music and sound is good, regardless of what Sharon Yeago thinks, and you can bring your own lawn chair and do as you please. This is beautiful land just out of town, and away from the noise of cars and pollution. There are scheduled to be three other groups performing that night, but the SNO SHOW begins at 8:00. I told Donnie at the Farm the Cones would appear if asked. So help me out here SNO CONES. We played well the last show just not many people were there because of the weather. Check out the link to farm to family and get the map and phone number. Dave’s wife is due any day now with a baby Cone. We are all eagerly awaiting the arrival of Boom Boom McBrady Junior.

Jerusalem Ridge
The Band
“. . . Sheer bluegrass heaven!” – The Edmonton Journal “Bluegrass veterans . . .” – Maclean’s Magazine “Canada’s finest bluegrass band . . .” – Peter North, Roots Music Columnist No band is more qualified to represent the contemporary Canadian bluegrass scene than Edmonton-based Jerusalem Ridge, which takes its name from the western Kentucky birthplace of Bill Monroe, considered the “Father of bluegrass music.” It’s been a grand old ride for the Alberta bluegrass quartet (now a quintet) who over the past 16 years has served up six albums and Canada’s first bluegrass video single on its way to becoming one of the longest serving and most successful bluegrass units in the country. Formed in 1989, band members quickly discovered they had the bluegrass “X factor” to win over fans with their stellar instrumental proficiency mixed with a genuine gift for improv humor. Within a couple of summers on the western Canadian folk festival circuit, and following the 1991 airing of their video single North Wind on CBC-TV’s Country Beat, MuchMusic and CMT and a string of appearances on CBC Radio with Morningside host Peter Gzowski and Vinyl Café yarn-spinner Stuart McLean, Jerusalem Ridge found itself at the top of the bluegrass community in Canada.
