"TELL A LIE LOUD ENOUGH AND LONG ENOUGH AND PEOPLE WILL BELIEVE IT." Adolph Hitler.
"FLUORIDE IS SAFE AND EFFECTIVE IN THE PREVENTION OF TOOTH DECAY, AND NO FURTHER STUDIES OF ITS EFFECTS ON HUMAN HEALTH ARE NECESSARY."
(Official Dentist's Fluoridation PR booklet)
For the past 50 years the US public has been very convincingly persuaded to ignore the fluoride issue, but the serious facts about this issue keep repeating, and the situation appears to be degrading.
The growing widespread concern over public apathy, rising health concerns, and the apparent stupidity of our school children keeps mounting. This fluoride issue is offered as one of several possible important answers to that problem.
THE HALOGENS:
The Halogen family consists of five chemical elements: Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine, Iodine and Astatine. (Chlorine and Fluorine are chief ingredients of the CFC's, that are causing the current controversy with the ozone holes.)
Depending upon use and dosage, the Halogens have a varying effect on the human mind, nervous system and metabolism. For example one of the most popular current hospital anesthetics, "Halothane", contains Fluorine, Chlorine, and Bromine.

Controversial fluoride is one of the basic ingredients in both PROZAC (FLUoxetene Hydrochloride) and Sarin nerve gas (Isopropyl-Methyl-Phosphoryl FLUoride).
Independent scientific evidence repeatedly showing up over the past 50 years reveals that fluoride allegedly shortens our life span, promotes cancer and various mental disturbances, accelerates osteoporosis and broken hips in old folks, and makes us stupid, docile, and subservient, all in one package. There are reports of aluminum in the brain possibly being a causative factor in Alzheimer's Disease, and evidence points towards fluoride's strong affinity for aluminum and also its ability to "trick" the blood-brain barrier by looking like the hydrogen ion, and thus allowing chemical access to brain tissue.
Do you have diabetes or kidney disease? There are reportedly more than 11 million Americans with diabetes. Since many diabetics drink more liquids than other people, then according to the Physicians Desk Reference these 11 million Americans probably shouldn't drink fluoridated water, because in doing so, they'll receive an excessive dose of fluoride.

Even though the ADA is an association, not a governmental agency, it has a great deal of influence on dental matters through its lobbyists in Washington, DC and the almost universal and dominant presence of its members on State Dental Boards. These Boards have the power to remove a license from a practicing dentist in the state, and thus can keep dentists in line on controversial issues like fluoridation. We hope that this website will encourage more dentists to break ranks with the ADA and rescue this profession from its shortsighted promotion of this dangerous, unethical and unnecessary practice.

127. The Story Of Fluoridation
fluoride started out as an unwanted contaminant. Examines how it was made beneficial, from the U.S. National Institutes of Health.

The Story of Fluoridation
I t started as an observation, that soon took the shape of an idea. It ended, five decades later, as a scientific revolution that shot dentistry into the forefront of preventive medicine. This is the story of how dental science discovered-and ultimately proved to the world-that fluoride, a mineral found in rocks and soil, prevents tooth decay.Although dental caries remains a public health worry, it is no longer the unbridled problem it once was, thanks to fluoride.
A Mysterious Disorder In 1909 Dr. McKay (r) persuaded the Colorado State Dental Association to invite Dr. Green Vardiman Black (l), one of the nation's most eminent dental researchers, to attend 1909 convention where McKay's findings were to be presented. The two men began joint research and discovered other areas of the country where brown staining of teeth occured F A Fruitful Collaboration
M cKay's first big break came in 1909, when renowned dental researcher Dr. G.V. Black agreed to come to Colorado Springs and collaborate with him on the mysterious ailment. Black, who had previously scoffed that it was impossible such a disorder could go unreported in the dental literature, was lured West shortly after the Colorado Springs Dental Society conducted a study showing that almost 90 percent of the city's locally born children had signs of the brown stains. When Black arrived in the city, he too was shocked by the prevalence of Colorado Brown Stain in the mouths of native-born residents. He would write later:

There are two different forms of fluoride, one of which, calcium fluoride, is naturally occurring. The other, sodium fluoride is not found naturally and is a poisonous by-product of aluminium smelting and used in insecticides.

Chart 2: Organizational amalgamation of the dental and industrial communities and their scientific journals. The US perspective. Dental organizations Industrial organizations Governmental bodies References Introduction In spite of the intense debate about amalgam and other dental materials in Scandinavia, USA and other countries, connections between the dental community and the manufacturers of dental materials has not been on the agenda. The industries strong urge for a positive image of their products and the dental professions strong defense of amalgam and other dental materials warrants such an investigation. True understanding of the defensive position of the dental community in the dental materials issue can not be reached without investigating the organizational amalgamation of the dental and industrial communities. In order to get a reference in a closely related field the organizational connection between two international medical organizations and the pharmaceutical industry has been investigated.

Questions and Answers
Key Points
  • Fluoride prevents and can even reverse tooth decay (see Question 3 More than 60 percent of the U.S. population on public water supply systems has access to water fluoridated at approximately 1 part fluoride per million parts water—the optimal level for preventing tooth decay (see Question 4 Many studies, in both humans and animals, have shown no association between fluoridated water and risk for cancer (see Question 5
What is fluoride? Fluoride is the name given to a group of compounds that are composed of the naturally occurring element fluorine and one or more other elements. Fluorides are present naturally in water and soil.
  • What is fluoridated water?
  • Virtually all water contains some amount of fluoride. Water fluoridation is the process of adding fluoride to the water supply so that the level reaches approximately 1 part fluoride per million parts water (ppm) or 1 milligram fluoride per liter of water (mg/L); this is the optimal level for preventing tooth decay (1).

    DANGERS ASSOCIATED
    WITH FLUORIDE D
ental fluorosis is a condition caused by an excessive intake of fluorides - while the teeth develop - characterized mainly by mottling of the enamel, although the skeletal system is also affected. Most frequently asked questions relating to fluoride 1) I heard fluoride is a poison. Is this true? Yes. Fluoride is an acute toxin with a rating slightly higher than that of lead.According to "Clinical Toxicology of Commercial products," 5th Edition, 1984, lead is given a toxicity rating of 3 to 4, and Fluoride is rated at 4 (3 = moderately toxic, 4 = very toxic). On December 7, 1992, the new EPA Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) for lead was set at 0.015 ppm, with a goal of 0.0ppm. The MCL for fluoride is currently set for 4.0ppm - that's over 350 times the permissable level of lead.Fluoride is also considered toxic waste. It is one of the most bone seeking elements known to mankind. The US Public Health Service has stated that fluoride makes the bones more brittle and the dental enamel more porous. 2) How much fluoride am I taking in?

The following questions highlight specific areas of knowledge, with which you may already be familiar; however, you may want to review the material under each question to ensure you have an accurate and complete understanding. A clear understanding of this material is necessary in order to discuss and comprehend this case study. What is Fluorosis? What about Fluoride Deficiency? What is the natural history of Fluorosis? What are common sources of Fluoride? How does Fluoride enter the human body? What is the epidemiology of Fluorosis? What is Fluorosis? In the broadest sense, the term "Fluorosis" describes a state of toxicity of the trace element, Fluorine (commonly referred to in its ionic state as Fluoride ) within an organism. Fluorosis is not limited to humans, and can affect any aspect of the ecosystem.
