Hunting Handbook Table of Contents HUNTER SAFETY REQUIREMENT A person born on or after June 1, 1975 may not be issued a hunting license in Florida without first having successfully completed a hunter safety course. Hunters affected by this requirement must present proof of satisfactory completion of Florida’s hunter safety course or an approved course provided by another state or province when purchasing a license. Children under the age of 16 may hunt with adult supervision even though they have not completed a hunter safety course. Hunters who need proof they’ve passed the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission’s (FWC’s) Hunter Safety Course can print out duplicate certificates from the FWC’s Web site at MyFWC.com, click on “hunting” and scroll down to “hunter education.” See “Free Hunter Safety Course” page 20. PERSONS EXEMPT FROM LICENSE AND PERMIT REQUIREMENTS The following persons are exempt and do not have to obtain a Hunting License, Florida Waterfowl Permit, Turkey Permit, Wildlife Management Area Permit, Archery Permit, Muzzleloading Gun Permit and Migratory Bird Permit. Any persons hunting in their county of residence on their homestead or the homestead of their spouse or minor child or any minor child hunting on the homestead of their parent.

Functions Of State Educational Agencies View Entire Chapter The John M. McKay Scholarships for Students with Disabilities Program. There is established a program that is separate and distinct from the Opportunity Scholarship Program and is named the John M. McKay Scholarships for Students with Disabilities Program, pursuant to this section. (1) THE JOHN M. MCKAY SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES PROGRAM.The John M. McKay Scholarships for Students with Disabilities Program is established to provide the option to attend a public school other than the one to which assigned, or to provide a scholarship to a private school of choice, for students with disabilities for whom an individual education plan has been written in accordance with rules of the Commissioner of Education or the State Board of Education. Students with disabilities include K-12 students who are mentally handicapped, speech and language impaired, deaf or hard of hearing, visually impaired, dual sensory impaired, physically impaired, emotionally handicapped, specific learning disabled, hospitalized or homebound, or autistic.
