What to Do When Your Recreational Companionship
Becomes Boring and Unpleasant (Part 2)
Letter #1
Introduction: My last column, What to Do When Your Recreational Companionship Becomes Boring and Unpleasant (Part 1] , attracted the interest of quite a few people who are having trouble motivating their spouses to become their recreational companions. So I've decided to give the subject a deeper look since it is so important to the health of your marriage. My position, simply stated, is that you and your spouse should be each other's best recreational companions. Why? Because recreational companionship , is one of the easiest ways to deposit love units into each other's Love Banks. If you want to be in love with each other, one of the simplest ways to do it is to be with each other when you are having fun. In fact, that's probably how you fell in love with each other in the first placeyou became each other's favorite recreational companions while you were dating. Ever tried dating without recreational companionship,? It doesn't work!

further information on boater safety.
The Cedar River flows from the Cascades east of Maple Valley to Lake Washington in Renton, hosting populations of sockeye, coho and Chinook salmon, steelhead and trout. The Cedar River is a prime location for fishing in season, non-motorized boating and nature viewing. This guidance was produced by the Cedar River Council working with King County, City of Renton and City of Seattle to inform the public of places where the Cedar River and its shorelines may be accessed for boating, fishing, and other recreational activities. Many of these remain undeveloped and are neither designed nor maintained for public recreational use or access. Accordingly, many of these sites do not provide boat launches or ramps, facilities for visitors, or designated off-street parking for vehicles, and do not meet ADA standards for accessibility in connection with recreational activities. The Cedar River Regional Trail runs parallel to the river from Renton to Landsburg at the western edge of the City of Seattle's Cedar River Watershed. It is located atop an abandoned rail line built to haul coal from mines in the Cascade foothills to settlements in the lowlands. This scenic trail provides visual and physical access to the river in many locations and is adjacent to many of the following public access sites. The trail is paved from Lake Washington to Maple Valley with compacted gravel the remainder of the distance.
