Fighting Tarpon
The fighting tarpon ( Tarpon atlanticus ), a silvery, saltwater game fish that can reach weights of 100 pounds, ranges off the coast Alabama and the Mobile estuary. About Alabama Saltwater Fishing
Who Are We?
Our company is a family owned and operated business located in Orange Beach, Alabama, which makes fishing charter reservations for the fleet of boats. Daughter, Stacey, manages the office. Son, Kevin owns his own charter boat and is the captain. Mother and Father Jack and Janette Murphy help by answering the phones and taking charter booking information, and enjoying meeting the customers and congratulating them on their catch when they come in each day.
A Background In Fishing
This family has been associated with Salt Water fishing in some way for over 40 years. Kevin got his first taste of saltwater fishing when in Virginia. As a youngster he fished with Jack and Janette for big Blue Fish, Stripped Bass, and Trout. Very shortly he had graduated to bill fishing off Oregon Inlet and Hatteras, North Carolina. Stacey also began fishing when in North Carolina and has followed the family in all phases of fishing as well. She also has her share of billfish tag and releases. The company has been operating in Orange Beach for approximately 10 years and enjoyed the booming growth of the area during these years.
