First aid in motor sport
Paul McCrory 31 Grosvenor Parade, Balwyn, Victoria 3103, Australia This video is designed to cover first aid practices in motor sport. The authors claim that it is aimed at giving everyone involved in all disciplines of motor sport a basic understanding of first aid. First Aid Tutorial The following first aid tutorial was graciously provided by Remo P.J. Tilanus, an astronomer working in Hawaii. Captain Dave extends his thanks and encourages those with an interest in Hawaii or the stars to visit Remo's site Please note that while this guide will not turn you into a surgeon or even an EMT. It is not intended as a field guide to keep your family healthy when the world as we know it comes to an end. If you are the first to respond to an injury, it is our hope that this guide will have provided you with the basic information necessary to react properly and do more good than harm. If the topic proves to be of interest, we encourage you to take a local CPR and first aid course or EMT training. Medical skills, from setting a broken bone to treating shock or poisoning to delivering babies, should be desireable skills in a survival situation. Under no conditions responsibility is be accepted by the author, Captain Dave, Captain Dave Inc. or anyone else related to this site regarding the consequences of use of the information disctributed in this documentation in any First Aid application.
THIS IS A TUTORIAL, HENCE A STUDY AID, NOT A FIRST AID MANUAL.
