Contact the appropriate University of Minnesota Extension Service county office if you have questions or need more details.) Farm Family Recognition will be Aug. 3 at Farmfest A total of 61 families representing the counties they live in have been named the "2005 Farm Families of the Year" by the University of Minnesota. Many of these families will participate in a recognition event Wednesday, Aug. 3 at Farmfest. The families will be recognized for their contributions to the agricultural industry, their communities and the state. Farm families receiving honors have demonstrated a commitment to enhancing and supporting agriculture and agricultural production. Along with Farmfest, the University of Minnesota units sponsoring the event include the College of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences; Extension Service; Minnesota Agricultural Experiment Station; and College of Veterinary Medicine.
