Adventure Camp A fun-filled adventure targeted for 7th and 8th grade youth to help them discover the future of 4-H in their lives, as they develop teamwork and leadership skills. Older teens serve as group leaders. Held at USU in June. Mock Legislature 4-Hers actually take over the leadership of the House of Representatives in our State capitol in Salt Lake City and go through the Legislative Process from presenting a bill, to committee work, to passing the bill. Held in April for 4-Hers and Youth City Councils. State Contests County winners participate on the state level in 28 different contests. Winners receive a variety of prizes, including savings bonds, a serger, trips or jackets. Chaperones needed. Held at USU in July. There will be four shows in the series. They will be at the Muskingum Co. Fairgrounds on May 7, Pike Co. Fairgrounds on June 18, Guernsey Co. Fairgrounds on July 9, and the last show will be in September with the date and location to be announced. The wether series is open to any youth from age 5 to 18, Champion Wether prize is $500 and Reserve is $250, plus class pay outs totaling $155. Also, along with the Wether Series there will be an Open American Boer Goat Association Sanctioned show, this will be open to anyone that would like to show their registered boer goats.
