JALT: The Japan Association for Language Teaching
JALT is a sister affiliate of CATESOL. An excellent site for information about teaching ESL in Japan.
Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers
A bilingual site for the Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers. In addition to information about the organization, there are student lessons, articles, and other resources. In Canada, second language includes both ESL and French.

ALLE. Alberta Language Learning Environment
ALLE is a technology enhanced learning project that concerns all second languages taught in Alberta at any level from beginner to advanced, K-12 to post-secondary. It is run by the Universities of Calgary and Alberta, and Mount Royal College. The site describes the ALLE project and its activities, and it also provides a well organized set of links related to the field of computer assisted language learning (articles, resources and references).

Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks (CCLB)

The mission of the Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks (CCLB) is to promote the coherence, effectiveness and consistency of adult English as a second language instruction across Canada by linking all adult ESL stakeholders, maintaining standards in ESL training, and facilitating the implementation and use of the CLB and the CLBA. The CCLB is a non-profit, federally incorporated organization.

The Certificate Program in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) has offered, since 1972, specialized academic and professional preparation to individuals interested in teaching English to adult second language learners. The program consists of four credits and a practicum. Applicants must have an undergraduate degree.
