Novo Nordisk Engineering
Enabling multi-version desktops and cost-effective management of graphic-rich applications
" We had been looking for years for the right technology to centrally deploy and manage our complex engineering applications. With SoftGrid, it is finally here." Novo Nordisk Engineering (NNE) is a leading engineering consulting company that creates plants and facilities for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. With over 2,000 employees worldwide and clients that span the globe from the United States to China, NNE's success depends on being nimble, ensuring fast time-to-market and maintaining low operating costs. To deliver on this, their Chief Information Officer, Bo Memhave, was challenged to closely manage the administrative costs of deploying NNE's many graphic-intensive applications, help their engineers meet aggressive project timeframes, and make it easy to comply with customers' strict application version requirements.
The Challenges
NNE's dependence on processor-intensive applications and need to run application versions as specified by the FDA made it extremely difficult to streamline application management and reduce costs while ensuring quality.
