ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAM The Energy Efficiency Program (EEP) provides technical assistance to West Virginia industries, public institutions, local governments and the transportation sector to enhance energy efficiency and identify modernization opportunities. Through funding provided by the state of West Virginia and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), EEP supports activities in a variety of areas.
Ride Share Program.
Due to rising gasoline costs and the number of state employees who commute each day to and from the capitol complex, the Ride Share Program, offered through the Energy Efficiency Program, serves as a means of financial savings to participating riders in addition to the conservation of one of our nation's energy resources.

The ENERGY STAR Change a Light, Change the World Campaign is a national challenge to encourage every American to help change the world, one light-one step-at a time. The campaign culminates in the fall around ENERGY STAR Change a Light Day (the first Wednesday in October) with promotions running locally and nationally from October 1 through November 30. If every West Virginia household replaced just one 75-watt incandescent light with a 20-watt compact florescent lamp (CFL), the U.S. EPA estimates we could save more than $5 million annually in energy costs. Changing a Light can Change the World!
West Virginia's Energy Roadmap identifies specific policy recommendations to continue West Virginia’s leadership role into the 21st century.

Home Ecostruct Current Projects The Wintles ... Contact us In times of increasing environmental awareness it is logical that thought should be given to many of the practices which form a part of everyday life, in order to ascertain their effect on the environment, and identify any areas in which improvements can be made. The building industry is one such area, and currently much thought is being given to its future direction in the light of changing demands. ECOSTRUCT i s a building company aiming to promote the concepts of sustainable development and environmental awareness within the construction industry. It is our intention to prove that ecologically friendly construction techniques can be used on a commercial basis to produce mainstream houses. Our members have operated as small builders in the Shropshire area for some ten years, initially specialising in Barn Conversions (see photographs), probably the ultimate 'eco-friendly', Brownfield development. People wishing to purchase Barn Conversions in the area may wish to consider our developments at The Wintles, Bishops Castle. Each site has dwellings constructed using heavy Post and Beam frames similar to many local barns.

Version
Welcome to the home page of Frohne Engineering (Ingenieurbüro Dr. Frohne) For most industrial and commercial businesses and public agencies energy costs are important, but not the focus of their work. Since 1979, Frohne Engineering has assisted many commercial businesses and public agencies in reducing their energy and water costs. These cost reductions were achieved through the use of the following services offered by Frohne Engineering:
Services:
Energy consulting Energy Accounting Energy Savings Contracting
  • Energy Consulting Energy Accounting
    • This service offers a more detailed analysis the client's energy use. The analysis will give the client the knowledge of where and when energy is used and allows the client to more effectively control their energy costs. An important foundation to this analysis are the energy and water utility bills of the most recent years. More detailed analyses may require time-of-use or end-use metering.
    Energy Savings Contracting:
    • Selected energy saving measures can be financed by Frohne Engineering. Frohne Engineering can finance the purchase, installation, and maintenance of these energy saving measures. This financing is achieved by sharing energy and water cost reductions. These cost reductions are shared with Frohne Engineering for a limited time (the average contract duration is five years), after which the energy saving measures owned by the client.

for Amendments to the Appliance Efficiency Regulations Appliances today are smarter and more energy efficient than ever before thanks to California's appliance efficiency standards that went into effect in 1977. We depend on our appliances day in and day out. They cool and heat our homes, keep our food from spoiling, clean our dishes and laundry, and cook our food. It's important to remember that there can be significant differences in the energy consumption of appliances. It depends on an appliance's age, whether it was designed before or after the standards went into effect, or the efficiency level of the model. For instance, the amount of energy used to run one 1977 model refrigerator can power three 1998 models!
