NO FRAMES If you are reading this non-frames version of the web site, please let me know that I should update this page. Thanks. Thank you for visiting Commuter Cars' web site. You may have seen us driving the Tango prototype around Spokane or racing it at Woodburn, Oregon (sans body) and wondered "what the heck is that thing?!" This site, which will be updated when the Tango is complete, will try to provide all the information you're looking for. The Tango, the first vehicle produced by Commuter Cars, will be a prime example of what we believe the future of commuting will be. Our requirements of this car (safety, etc.) will be found in every vehicle we ever produce. UPDATE 6/1/00: The Tango prototype is nearly complete except for a paint job, some interior work, and the inevitable future modifications. I will be posting photos of the Tango with its new Zenith Blue Metallic body shortly. Our plan is to drive up to Vancouver, B.C. by June 13 and then south roughly through Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and back to Spokane. The long legs of the journey will be done towing our range-extending hybrid trailer, while in-city driving can be done using only the batteries. I regret that our patent pending status prevents us from publishing more details about the Tango, but you can look forward to a full-featured web site as soon as we receive our patent. | |
