Egyptian civilization originated over 5,000 years ago, and Egypt's historic sites are among the world's greatest tourist attractions. The first seeds of civilization were sown in the fertile Nile Valley. Here, the first multinational state was born, the first writing system using hieroglyphs was invented, the concepts of kingship, religion and bureaucracy were developed. Mysteries of Egypt takes us on a voyage that traverses the centuries, with amazing views into the wonders of ancient Egypt: the pyramids at Giza, the Sphinx, and the pharaohs' temples, palaces and tombs. EGYPT Egypt began its television system, considered one of the most extensive and effective among all undeveloped countries of Asia and Africa, in 1960. Due to a well-financed radio service and film industry already in existence Egypt, unlike other Arab countries, was able to start television production without importing engineering staff from abroad. Even with this beginning, however, the development of television has been complicated by many other social and cultural factors. In the late 1950s, following the 1952 revolution, Egyptian President Gamel Abdul Nasser realized television's potential for helping to build Egypt into a new nation. Though the decision to start television service had been made earlier, the joint British-French-Israeli Suez invasion delayed work until late 1959. Egypt then signed a contract with Radio Corporation of America (RCA) to provide the country with a television network and the capacity to manufacture sets. After the RCA contract was signed, Egypt began construction of a radio and television center, completed in 1960, and the first television pictures appeared on 21 July 1960, using the 625-line European standard. From the start, Egypt did everything on a grand scale. Thus, while most nations began their systems modestly with one channel, Egypt began with three. The entire system was initially totally subsidized by the government, receiving a direct grant every year. In 1969, however, an annual license fee of $15 per set was introduced and after 1979, revenue from advertising and from the sales of programs to other countries also helped in financing. At the present time, a surcharge, which goes to the broadcasting authority, is added to all electricity bills and provides additional funding for the system.

Introduction to Ancient Egypt
Egypt is located in the north-east corner of Africa, bordered on the west by the Sahara Desert, the east by the Red Sea, the north by the Mediterranean Sea and to the south by modern Sudan. The most important geographical aspect of Egypt is the River Nile, which runs through this arid area bringing the water, which supports life here. In ancient times, the Nile used to flood once a year. The melting snows of the mountains of central Africa brought water to the sources of the Nile in the central African highlands and caused a huge inundation which swept upstream, northward through the Nile Valley and delta. The river overflowed its banks and the delta floodplain and at last finally reached the sea. When the flood waters subsided they left behind a coating of fresh silt and mud on the Black Land of Egypt. Egyptian farmers planted their crops, tended them as they grew and then harvested them before the next flood came.

Culture and Historical Linguistic in Ancient Egypt By: Ali Zoher y [I.] Introduction: The decipherment of the hieroglyphic script by Jean-Francois Champollion on 14 September 1822 opened the way to a more intense study of Ancient Egyptian texts. Egyptologists discovered the ancient Egyptian writings but the development of this writing still receiving much attention from researchers. Egyptologists believe that the ancient Egyptians went through different periods in their long ancient history. This research is about tracing the expansion of use of language as reflected in the writing systems during the Ancient Egyptian periods. Following are the four Ancient Egyptian writing systems. The use of each was reflected through the Ancient Egyptian Culture at the time: 1. The oldest Hieroglyphic was discovered goes back to the end of 4000 BC. Hieroglyphic means sacred scripts inscribed on the walls of the temples or religious verses written on the papyrus. Hieroglyphic could be read from top to bottom, Sometimes from right to left, or from left to right. When the writing from right to left the signs face right. It reflected the strong relationship between kings and gods. The following types of writings were developed from the Hieroglyphic, which was the original one. 2. Hieratic was developed before 2000 BC. It was the type of writing that the priests used in their religious books. The Hieratic Signs are abbreviated forms from the Hieroglyphic. Usually, the directions of the signs face right. This writing reflected the powerful position of the priests in some eras of the Ancient Egyptian Civilization.
