Home Page Kristine's Characters Program Examples About Kristine Customer references ... Links Allow me to introduce myselves, I'm Kristine Wildflower, storyteller, elf, gypsy and clown. I am known by a dozen aliases. WildFlower Productions is my business name, this does makes sense (in my world)! The characters I play, and I mean play, are flowers or plants. For example there is Cowslip the clown, Cosmos the Little Green Alien, Gypsy Rosa , and Ivy the English Elf to name a few. Some of them are wildflowers others are simply wild or whimsical in their persona.
I'm often asked how do you keep them all straight and what goes on in your mind, why do you have so many characters? Well, I am somewhat, compulsive. Three decades of working in theater has taught me to pay attention to details. Many hours of research goes into character development, costumes, and program content. That's the production part. Only my accents are not authentic, they are simply fun! Why so many? It's the voices, in my head, they won't stop! Some people say I suffer from multiple personality disorder, not true. I enjoy every minute of it!
Though it's not easy, I do enjoy my work. I love to make others happy.

T he Center for Conservation and Biodiversity was established in 1993 by the Board of Trustees of the University of Connecticut as a cooperative effort between the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, the Connecticut State Museum of Natural History, and the Geological and Natural History Survey of the Connecticut State Department of Environmental Protection. Its mission is to protect the diversity of life through education, training, and research in ecology, evolutionary biology, and systematics - disciplines that are the foundation of sound conservation practice. A primary goal of the Center is to promote research and training in the conservation of biodiversity on the local, national and international scene. Basic scientific research is fostered along with applications to solving sustainable conservation issues. The Center provides financial support for graduate and undergraduate training and research in the fields of conservation, ecology, evolution and systematics. The Center is working with several private foundations and corporations to establish research fellowships for students, to fund an annual research award competition for graduate students, and to provide student travel to conduct research and attend professional meetings. T he Center sponsors a Colloquium in Conservation and Biodiversity that brings distinguished scholars to campus each year. The Edwin Way Teale Nature and Environment Colloquium is highly intradisciplinary in scope inviting economists, geographers, land managers, philosophers, nature writers, sociologists, policymakers, biologists, and, of course, environmental scientists. Lectures are attended by students, faculty, conservation agencies, and lay people.

The Department of Culture and Communication offers the B.S. in Communication Studies, as well as the M.A. and Ph.D. programs in Media ecology and Graphic Communication Management and Technology, and the M.A. program in Speech and Interpersonal Communication.
    http://www.nyu.edu/education/culturecomm/
    Welcome
The Department of Culture and Communication is committed to the proposition that society is a form of communication. Our core pursuit is advancement of research, scholarship, and teaching in the various ways that human beings make, disseminate and share meaningful symbols as individuals and social groups. To us, communication is the foundational practice of human experience and culture is the shared, lived realities of particular groups. We investigate the ways in which the technologies of communication record, transmit and shape what we know and do.
Our academic terrain is interdisciplinary, equally informed by the humanities and social sciences. Students and scholars of culture and communication must appreciate and explore communicative and cultural practices that extend beyond their own place and time. We value historical thinking as a way of understanding the present. We take seriously the premise that we live in a world of cultures, contested and dynamic.
The department provides a rich diversity of undergraduate and graduate courses. Instruction ranges from theoretical and historical accounts of communication systems in general to specific case studies of particular forms, methods, and modes of communication. Our courses confront the issues and challenges that changing technology, media forms, institutions, and social and cultural habits present to us in a global and connected age. Working with the professional communities in New York City and elsewhere, we seek to build our students' professional competencies and support their desire to pursue careers in communication and media.

I am glad to welcome veterans and new members of the EEIU to the regular meeting of our Primorsky Branch. Being Chair, I shall venture to be the first with a small report. First of all, I would like to remind you that ecoethics is based on scientific research, knowledge and compatibility of man with nature. So, all our ecological studies, completed in this manner, are at the same time a part of the program of the EEIU. Since we are participants of the international program, I was asked to make a report about our organization on the meeting of the Presidium of FEB RAS. I prepared a report and a visual presentation, but as I was on expedition, the report was made by EEIU member Academician V.L. Kasianov and approved by the audience. In addition to the copy of the decree on fishing prohibition M.F. Levchenko encloses a document entitled 'Ecological condition of fishery basins under the supervision of Ussurijsky fishery inspection'. The detailed investigation has shown that there are no substantial changes.

Ask a successful ecologist what originally fired his or her enthusiasm for ecology and many will tell you that it was a teacher at school who passed on their enthusiasm more often than not through a field course. Teachers are in the front line transmitting not only knowledge but enthusiasm. The British Ecological Society realises that the best way to get the message across to young people that ecology is an exciting science is to support, encourage and equip teachers. The Ecological Education Grants (EEGs) are to enable teachers to make the teaching of ecology more innovative, interesting and exciting. The scheme offers teachers a complete toolbox and most applications will fall into (at least) one of the seven categories below. If you aren’t sure which category to put your application in just put it in the one you think is the best fit. It is possible to apply for more than one category at a time, though it is not guaranteed that all of the categories will be awarded together.

In the face of rampant noise pollution, I want to be understanding and caring of this 'language' and how it is 'spoken.' I compose with any sound that the environment offers to the microphones, just as a writer works with all the words that a language provides. It is in the specific ways in which the language is selected, organized, and processed that composition occurs. . . . I like to position the microphone very close to the tiny, quiet, and complex sounds of nature, then amplify and highlight them: to make them audible to the numbed urban ear. Perhaps in that way these natural sounds can be understood as occupying an important place in the soundscape and warrant respect and protection."
