Mr. Bill's Adventureland Review
INHERIT THE EARTH: Quest for the Orb Reviewed by Now this is something that we wish more developers would do. Wyrmkeep Entertainment has taken one of the great old adventure games (from 1994) and put it on a CD, updating everything so that it runs easily and well under Windows. Inherit the Earth is an old-style classic adventure, an utterly charming game, and now thanks to them a whole new generation of gamers can enjoy it! The time is the future, and humanity has long since disappeared. The animals have inherited the earth, and they ponder what happened, preserving their heritage in 'A Story of the Morph'. We see the sky, we see the land, we see the water
And we wonder, Are we the only ones?
Long before we came to exist, the Humans ruled the Earth.
They made marvelous things, and moved whole mountains.
They knew the secret of Flight, the secret of Happiness,
And other secrets beyond our imaging. The Humans also knew the secret of Life,
And they used it to give us the four great Gifts:
Thinking minds, feeling hearts, speaking mouths, and reaching hands.

The holistic simulation is the simulation with the tremendously excellent accuracy that calculates the physics of several hundred kilo-meters, while calculating that of extremely small scale. We succeeded in the world's first aurora simulation using this algorithm. An aurora is the luminous phenomena that happen when an earth drugs solar wind into its atmosphere. The holistic simulation algorithm is being developed for understanding the complex physical process such as plasma phenomenon, atmospheric phenomenon, and rupture phenomenon of internal earth, and is expected to contribute to sciences of many fields.

"R ita will turn into at least a Category 4 hurricane and has a chance to reach Category 5 status. Rita's impact could rival Katrina and Dennis." - AccuWeather News Center
T oday, Hurricane Rita pounded the Florida Keys and South Florida with heavy rains and wind, intensifying to Category 2 with 100 mph sustained winds. Rita will gain more energy in the warm Gulf of Mexico waters. By Friday to Saturday, its projected landfall will probably be the Texas coast. Everyone's concern: will rain fall on New Orleans and its fragile levies? This time, a high pressure area might protect the below-sea-level city.

http://charltonhestonworld.homestead.com/GreatestShowOnEarth.html
THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH is big, gitzy, loud, and wonderful, just as one would expect of a salute to the big top directed by Cecil B. DeMille. DeMille was the perfect director to render all the glamour and flashy hoopla of the circus, nor is it surprising to find Charlton Heston, whose career was filled with spectacular, sprawling films, in the starring role here.
SYNOPSIS
'THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH'.
THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH is a superb DeMille production which was carefully and expensively constructed, filmed with love in every frame. Its 153 minutes are loaded with charm and excitement, and the cast is outstanding, particularly Heston. Though Betty Hutton overacts a bit (as usual) in her role, Cornel Wilde is perfect as the egotistical aerialist, James Stewart is touching as the tragic clown, and Gloria Grahame makes an effectively sexy, manipulative circus lady. DeMille also throws in a few amusing cameo appearances by planting Paramount celebrities in his circus audience. In one scene Bob Hope and Bing Crosby are gaping spectators, looking up anxiously at the aerial stunts while nervously munching peanuts.
The railroad wreck was done in miniature but was so well constructed that it appears quite real. In other scenes, DeMille was extremely inventive, mounting his cameras on pulleys and having them slide up and down the support poles of the main tent. The resulting film, both authentic and awesome, earned

Watch shuttle landing The shuttle Discovery has touched down successfully in California after the first mission since 2003's Columbia disaster.
Discovery landed at Edwards Air Force Base at around 1312 BST (0512 PST; 1212 GMT) when bad weather forced a change to the intended Florida landing site. Columbia broke up on re-entry because of damage it sustained when foam debris fell off the fuel tank during lift-off. On leaving Discovery, the crew went to inspect the vehicle on the tarmac. Space exploration is a fantastic part of the human experience
Shuttle commander Eileen Collins "It's absolutely fantastic to be back on planet Earth," said Discovery's commander Eileen Collins at a post-landing press conference on Tuesday. But the first woman to command a shuttle mission added that the crew had experienced mixed feelings: "It's a very bittersweet day for us too. We remember the Columbia crew and their families. She added: "Our heart goes out to them as we reach a point of closure."

174. Organa > Salt Of The Earth
tells the background of the movie, made during the height of the McCarthy era by a group of blacklisted filmmakers. Based on a 1950 strike by zinc miners in Silver City, New Mexico.
http://www.organa.com/salt.html
Salt of the Earth is based on a 1950 strike by zinc miners in Silver City, New Mexico. Against a backdrop of social injustice, a riveting family drama is played out by the characters of Ramon and Esperanza Quintero, a Mexican-American miner and his wife. In the course of the strike, Ramon and Esperanza find their roles reversed: an injunction against the male strikers moves the women to take over the picket line, leaving the men to domestic duties. The women evolve from men's subordinates into their allies and equals.
In addition to the complete film, the Salt of the Earth CD-ROM provides film lovers with the screenplay in English, Spanish, French, and German, along with background material on the making of the film, the Hollywood blacklist, the filmmakers, and the original strike. The VHS version contains only the film.
