IN DREAMS
Neil Jordan (1999)
In his most recent film, In Dreams, director Neil Jordan (The Crying Game) toys with the notion of the rationality and the irrationality of dreams. Claire Cooper (Annette Bening) has a long history of suffering from nightmares, yet she had learned to discard these irrational images against the reality of her normal family life. Soon, however, these nightmares become premonitions of murders and missing children. While her husband Paul (Aidan Quinn), the police and her psychiatrist, Dr. Silverman (Stephen Rea) attribute the disturbances to a mental decadence, Claire is convinced that she is sane and is communicating with a mad murderer, whose messages could provide enough evidence to save future victims and to disprove her insanity. The plot thickens when the same horrifying images leave her dreams only to invade her home and to unfold before her eyes as palpable truths. By means of the exteriorization of the characters' internal or mental states (i.e., their dreams) Jordan creates a world (an "aesthetic" one composed of the "painted", abstract images from specific dreams), and he populates it with characters whose functions are determined by and depend on the motions of a world turned inside-out. Although the viewer may find an interest in these representations, he is less likely to find

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT DREAMS
Choose a Language French Dutch Spanish German Italian Portuguese Norwegian
Does everyone dream?
Yes. Laboratory studies have shown that we experience our most vivid dreams during a type of sleep called Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep. During REM sleep the brain is very active, the eyes move back and forth rapidly under the lids, and the large muscles of the body are relaxed. REM sleep occurs every 90 - 100 minutes, 3 to 4 times a night, and lasts longer as the night progresses. The final REM period may last as long as 45 minutes. Less vivid dreams occur at other times during the night.
Why do people have trouble remembering their dreams?
How can I improve my dream memory?
Before you fall asleep, remind yourself that you want to remember your dreams. Keep a paper and pen or tape-recorder by your bedside. As you awaken, try to move as little as possible and try not to think right away about your upcoming day. Write down all of your dreams and images, as they can fade quickly if not recorded. Any distractions will cause the memory of your dream to fade. If you can't remember a full dream, record the last thing that was on your mind before awakening, even if you have only a vague memory of it.
Are dreams in color?

Electric Dreams
Alan and Rob A man's computer gains artificial intelligence and falls in love with the girl in the neighboring apartment
No
OK, so this guy is an architect and he gets a computer and it gets fried when he spills a drink on it, thereby gaining artificial intelligence (happens all the time) and it starts to absorb everything, especially the cello playing of the guy's hot (relatively, for this guy) neighbor (the girl from Candyman). So the computer imitates her and she thinks it's the guy, but it's not the guy, he's just an architect, and the computer absorbs a bunch more information and falls in love with the girl, who is in love with the guy, who is also in love with the girl and finally the computer dies or something, which might be sad, if you like robots a lot, or you're really attached to Linux or something. Don't watch this movie, just let it happen in front of you.

Biker Dreams
Director:
Adam Berman Cast: Martin Tobias, Alex Landes, "Liddo" Jim
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single kickstart. The opening of Biker Dreams The documentary On Any Sunday took a look at the many different kinds of motocycling sports. Biker Dreams is another documentary that concerns motorcycles, but its focus instead is on the people who ride them. You might think that showing a number of different people talking about why they love motobikes would quickly become boring, but it isn't. The people we listen to, who are from all walks of life, have a number of insights and stories that are fascinating and informative. Also, they talk in a manner that make you able to relate to even the huge and mean-looking motorcyclists. Even viewers who dislike motorcycling will, after watching this documentary, have at least a more likable view of these motorcyclists. Besides focusing on one aspect of motorcycling, Biker Dreams focuses on the people attending one particular motorcyling event. This is the 1996 biker run at Sturgis, South Dakota, where every year, thousands of motorcyclists from all over the continent drive to. It's considered the Mecca for motorcyclists, though I couldn't help but wonder why they picked a place like Sturgis (anyone know?) We do get to see some footage of the thousands of bikes on the city streets, and also an interesting sequence showing a makeshift church under a giant tent, with rock singers singing behind the preacher. However, that's about it for showing what actually happens at Sturgis; it almost seems that bikers come to Sturgis just to park their bikes on the side of the street, stand around, and drink beer. Of course, that stuff must really happen, and I know that the focus of the documentary is on the bikers themselves. Still, I would have really liked the documentary to have taken a few minutes to clearly show what the bikers do there at this annual festival.

http://member.telpacific.com.au/trat2422/nights.html
Genre: Story Rundown:
Mystic Forest NiGHTS taking on Jackle NiGHTS in Stick Canyon NiGHTS in Soft Museum Taking out enemies is most effective by Paralooping them, or by grabbing them and then spinning into a Paraloop. You can Drill Attack them, but this sends the enemy off into Nightopia as a ball and if it hits a Nightopian, it may mutate into a Mepian, which is a half good, half evil creature that takes on the look of the baddie you sent whizzing off.
NiGHTS plays like a dream (no pun intended, mind you) and is an absolutely awesome experience every time you play. The style of NiGHTS, with rapid loops required, calls for the custom NiGHTS 3D control pad. With an analogue d-pad, controlling NiGHTS is far, far easier and a lot more enjoyable than the standard Saturn pad. Plus you can use the extra features of this pad for other games too.
Graphics: This game really shows what the Saturn can get up to. From coloured lighting to spectacular transparent effects, reflections, warping terrain and mist, NiGHTS manages to squeeze in numerous eye-candy effects. The boss stages especially look out of this world, with big, brightly coloured textures and flashy effects.
Sound: Wonderfully composed music that changes to suit the mood of the Nightopians in each level. Some of it was played by a symphony orchestra, I think. Other than that, top range sound effects, and plenty of them also!
