Dinosaurs in Delaware Only fragmentary remains of dinosaurs have been found in Delaware. All of these have come from the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, mainly from the spoil piles created by the dredging of the Canal. Various nature groups in Delaware lead trips to the Canal for collecting. Most of the fossils found are those of marine invertebrates (primarily bivalves and gastropods with some remains of sponges, ammonites, and belemnites).

They are believed to have gone extinct from the earth about 65 million years before the first humans lived. However, according to the Biblical account of earth's early history , God created all the land animals and humans on exactly the same day. The Bible also says there was a great devastating flood that covered the highest mountains by 20 feet, and was only survivable through divine intervention . The scientific community does not recognize this devastating global flood, and therefore if the Bible is true, the

Overview
I chose to teach my mini-unit on dinosaurs in my Kindergarten - First Grade classroom for many reasons. First, as a child this topic fascinated me, and in talking with Marcy, I found out that it fascinated the children in her class as well. Next, I was learning all about dinosaurs in Science class. I thought the mini-unit would be the perfect opportunity to give my new knowledge a trial run. Finally, Marcy suggested that I do dinosaurs. What better reason than that? The children have been looking at dinosaurs since the very beginning of my placement. One of the first things that we did was ask the children what questions they wanted answered about dinosaurs. They came up with forty nine questions, and right then and there, I knew I was going to be busy. I would have liked to include these questions, however they are currently hanging in the room, in a difficult place to get at. What I can tell you about these questions is that they were very egocentric. That is to be expected from children of that age. One in specific asks, "How do dinosaurs get married?". This type of response made my primary goal very clear to me. I needed to get the children to visualize what a dinosaur was in a "real" way. I needed to get them away from false preconceptions created from media such as The Flintstones, Power Rangers, and Jurassic Park.

156. Are Dinosaurs In The Bible? Behemoth Dinosaur Creation Evolution
Questions about dinosaurs and Creation are discussed in light of the Bible and scientific theories.
http://www.angelfire.com/mi/dinosaurs/behemoth.html
Are Dinosaurs in the Bible?
(thanks to Dan L. for letting me use the above picture)
Do not use without permission. "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds; livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.
Genesis 1:24 God created animals of all kind directly before he spoke the words that would bring man into existence. Many people believe that God is the Creator of all things. But very few people know when or why He created the Dinosaurs. Children are often unsure how Dinosaurs fit in, or if they are even mentioned in the Bible at all. Are Dinosaurs in the Bible?
Before reading any further, ask yourself why it is that you ask this question. Is it because you see a conflict between the clear teachings of Scripture, with what those who believe in Evolution teach? As Christians we must learn to treat God’s word as the source of absolute truth and authority. To answer questions about dinosaurs and Creation, we must start our thinking with the Bible, and from there find the answers. If we trust the Bible as true, and accept theories compatible with scripture we will never have a problem. Sometimes Christians are tempted to change the Bible to fit their theories. But scientific theories change. God's word remains the same it never changes.
