VideoEgg Offers New Video Upload Service VideoEgg ( www.videoegg.com ) has come up with a pretty cool idea, for those of you interested in posting your videos to the Web for viewing. The VideoEgg Publisher, just announced, takes the confusion out of trying to figure out which file format, size, encoding types, and so on to save your video to. In fact, the VideoEgg Publisher will even recognize about a hundred different camcorders, Web cams, and video cellphones. So if you just want to upload a quick unedited clip off your camcorder, you can do that without even stopping off at your video editing software first. Another cool thing about the 'Egg is that almost as soon as you upload your clip, it is converted to a "universal" format. In other words, to a Flash-based format that doesn't require viewers to have QuickTime, RealPlayer, Windows MediaPlayer or to mess around with downloading or configuring any software (other than the VideoEgg Player, which is small and self-configuring) just to watch your movie. The VideoEgg Publisher is a lightweight browser extension, which adds video capture, encoding, simple editing and upload capabilities to a standard Internet browser. | |
