Programmes and Courses - By Types Psychological Studies Advanced Diploma in Guidance and Counselling DO I QUALIFY?
You must be a serving qualified teacher (preferably with at least two years' experience) with a Diploma in Education or its equivalent. If you completed your diploma more than five years ago, you may have to undertake one or two updating modules. PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
The programme will allow teachers to:
  • Be able to enhance their versatile role as teachers; to look after both the pupils' intellectual and psychosocial needs. These needs are interrelated, for example, poor academic performance is related to low self-esteem. Stress may lead to further emotional problems such as anxiety and depression that will in turn affect study. Be equipped with knowledge and skills in guidance and counselling so that they are able to help pupils manage personal problems such as ADHD, delinquency, conduct disorders.
