Klaus Peter Brodersen Distribution and composition of the epilithic macroinvertebrate fauna was studied on 21 different sites situated in the surf zone of Lake Esrom. A relative degree-of-exposure (windinduced wave activity) was calculated for each station from the specific number of wind days, wind velocity and a measured wind fetch. In surface samples from Lake Stigsholm subfossile species composition was compared with species composition in samples of trapped adult midges and samples of living larvae. The relative species composition between the three sample types varied considerably. Samples of living larvae showed a high degree of variation within the lake while surface sediment samples of subfossile chironomid remains seemed to be a persistent and reliable tool in classification of shallow lakes. ABSTRACT
The succession at Site 990 consists of 13 units of lava flow that show a slight compositional development upsection with Mg# decreasing from ~62 to ~49. This variation is within the limits known from the slightly younger oceanic succession drilled earlier at Site 918, in which the variation is thought to reflect fractionation in magma chambers in the oceanic crust. The reestablishment of magma chambers after the breakup must have been achieved during the interval that the short, undrilled lava succession between uppermost Site 917 and lowermost Site 990 was deposited. The primary magma for the postbreakup rocks is estimated to have contained ~18% MgO. After fractionation of 30 mol% olivine (Fo ), it shifted to gabbro fractionation, and the magmas started to erupt. The modal composition of the gabbroic cumulate is 8% olivine (Fo ), 50% plagioclase (An

He was a performer in a Hans Christian Andersen play. I edged closer to the stage and took this one and only shot of him. Normally, I took a lot of shots of a good subject, But this was Europe (as opposed to Asia). I had to be careful taking shots of people. Well, I was and I was proud at myself (coz I normally panic-shoot when I see photohraphable subjects).
If you think I don't have as much portraits in Denmark than I normally do when I travel in an Asian country, well, you're wrong. I just put up my Denmark gallery in pbase. Click

Summary
Growing rats were used as animal model to evaluate the digestibility of energy and protein digestible corrected amino acid score (PDCAAS) in some common fruits and vegetable grown during two subsequent growth seasons in different cultivation systems. The ingredients were cultivated by each of three different farming strategies: LIminusP: low input of feritlizer without pesticides, LIplusP: lowinput of fertilicer and high input of pesticides and LHplusP: high input of fertilizer and high input of pesticides.
The protein quality of the dietary ingredients gave rise to the following ranking: apples, carrots, potatoes, kale and peas. The amino acid pattern in peas and potatoes complemented each other fairly well as dietary sources, while lysine turned out to be the limiting amino acid in both carrot and kale.

two years, 80 credit points, full-time INTRODUCTION Participants of the Literary Composition course are expected to submit texts written in Swedish, Norwegian or Danish. The course is supported by the Swedish Government student loan system. At least eighty-percent attendance per term is required for the obligatory, scheduled periods. STRUCTURE THE DISCURSIVE TEXT One can consider the two-week work periods in Gothenburg as 'Discourse in Progress'. Basic literary issues are addressed, in relation to either course participants' texts or external texts. Participants' Text Discourse claims about half of the scheduled work period, involving either the whole or half of the group. Poets and professors Staffan Soderblom and Marie Silkeberg are responsible for Text Discourse. The other half of the period is devoted to seminars, addressing diverse literary subjects and even non-literary. Seminars are either held by the course tutors, individual course participants or guest tutors. The poet/essaist Gunnar D Hansson holds recurrent serninars in Poetics. (Teacher's literary presentations can be accessed via the Swedish presentation at The Literary Compositions own website.) PERSONAL TUTORS All course participants are assigned a personal tutor. The tutors are either Swedish, Norwegian or Danish authors, all active within various literary genre. Participants communicate - via meeting, via telephone, via e-mail, via letter, etcetera - with their tutor during the unscheduled writing period. The participant and tutor decide themselves as to the content of the communication. The tutor also deliver lectures and hold seminars during the academic year.
