I am really looking forward to it, even though I loved it in Bratislava. There are three reasons for this transfer. They appeared almost simultaneously.

Socialist PM's Kid In A Private School
Former Prime Minister Milos Zeman's daughter will attend a private junior high school. The principal of this school is Vaclav Klaus Jr., the son of the now president Vaclav Klaus, Sr. Klaus and Zeman used to be the biggest political opponents.
The tuition at the school is 28,000 CZK, which is around $1,000. The irony is that Zeman, as the chairman of the Social Democrats, was strongly against any form of tuition.

Milan Bachorek - Czech Contemporary Composer
Milan Bachorek was born on l8 August 1939 at Staric in the Frydek-Mistek district. He studied piano playing with Milada Slachtova at the Pedagogic Faculty of the University of Ostrava and from 1963 to 1966 composition with Miroslav Klega at the Ostrava Conservatory. Since 1960 he had worked as a music teacher at the School of Arts in Frenstat pod Radhostem, since 1965 he has acted as choirmaster of the amateur chorus Radhost. Since 1967 he has worked as a teacher at the Ostrava Conservatory, at first for subject of musical theory, later on composition as well. He is also an active music critic and populariser and since 1974 he had been holding the appointment as Secretary of the local branch of the Czech Composers and Concert Artists Association in Ostrava.
In his compositions, Milan Bachorek issued from a synthesis of 20th century classics heritage and ethnic melodics spread through the Beskydy Mountains foothills in Northern Moravia. In 1969 Ritornello per orchestra opened second period of his works, manifesting composer's joining new composition trends. Since then Milan Bachorek has followed these trends while on the other hand avoiding academic experiments and unemotional constructions. His compositions are remarkable for their colourfull sound, striking melodiousness, tectonic balance and a typical lyric-epic tinge, which applies even to his chorus works.
