When Terry Fox began his Marathon of Hope run across Canada on April 12, 1980 his goal was to raise $1 for every person in Canada for cancer research. That would have been about $24 million in 1980. The Terry Fox Foundation says that in the last 25 years more than $360 million has been raised worldwide for cancer research in Terry's name.
