A Fall "Family Entertainment" Package
Aquarium of the Pacific Offers Nominated for several Tony Awards (including Best Musical, Best Original Score and Best Book of a Musical), A Year With Frog and Toad A Year With Frog and Toad runs Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm, September 2 through October 2. Tickets are $35.00 and $40.00 on Thursdays, and $40.00 and $45.00 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, except Opening Night which is $50.00 and $60.00 and includes a reception with the actors following the performance. Tickets for children age 12 and younger are $30 for all performances, except Opening Night which is $40. Preview performances take place at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 30; Wednesday, August 31; and Thursday, September 1. Preview tickets are $32.00.

    State of the Arts 2005 The College of Visual and Performing Arts is pleased to announce State of the Arts 2005 , a celebration of UMass Dartmouth's groundbreaking contributions to the cultural life of the SouthCoast and beyond. Several events, developed in conjunction with the University's "Breaking New Ground, A Tradition of Innovation" campaign, will be held on April 14 and 15, 2005, throughout downtown New Bedford, MA. State of the Arts 2005 will kick of with The Opening Night Experience The excitement continues on Friday, April 15, with a symposium entitled Understanding Creativity . This all-day symposium will bring together experts in the fields of visual and performing arts, multimedia studies, neuroscience, and new communication technologies to explore creativity from a number of perspectives-from its neurological genesis and its various modes of expression to its focused application as a force for social change and the ideals of democracy. In addition to these experts, CVPA faculty engaged in groundbreaking artistic endeavors will share their experiences in an exciting panel discussion.

      Yosemite in Time at the Berkeley Art Museum The Berkeley Art Museum is pleased to present Yosemite in Time , an exhibition that explores the history of California's spectacular and beloved Yosemite National Park by re-photographing the work of America's greatest landscape photographers. The exhibition is a collaborative project by photographers Mark Klett and Byron Wolfe, and San Francisco-based historian and writer Rebecca Solnit. Using original prints and new images, and combinations of both in the form of large-scale panoramas, Yosemite in Time provides insight into change and the nature of time itself. Public programs related to the exhibit are made possible by support from the Consortium for the Arts.
